| The King of Swords is a very clever King and a good and recognized ruler to his subjects. He spends a lot of time on a mental level and tries to deal with things diplomatically. War is a last ditch effort to protect his kingdom. He is a problem solver and a peaceful but strong man. Louis is the fourth son of the emperor and twin to Elizabeth. Louis is married to Genevieve (maiden name) and has three children, the twins Alexandra and Samuel and Logan. Louis and Genevieve did have a fourth child, Marielle, but she died mysteriously ten years ago when she was only eight years old. Louis is a daydreamer and can get caught up in his thoughts but is always quick to snap back into reality. He is thoughtful and compassionate, and also very nontraditional as a ruler. There are no rules or taboos about gender and skin color in his kingdom and there are plenty of women warriors. He can sometimes be seen as hard to communicate emotion with because he's so caught up in his ideas. He is a caring family man who has always been a part of his children's lives. Louis takes good care of his family, especially his twin sister Elizabeth, who has been disowned by the rest of the Westerveldt family. | The Queen of Swords has a very perspective mind and often gives the best advice though it can sometimes come off as harsh. She is seen as frivolous at times but personal experience has filled her with some of the most poignant knowledge of sorrow. Elizabeth is the only daughter of the Emperor. She is the unmarried twin sister to Louis. She is Louis's best friend and best adviser and widely respected in the Sword's kingdom. She is intelligent but not very empathetic. As a young woman Elizabeth fell in love with a common warrior but they never married, she was carrying his child when he was called away to battle. He had promised her a family when he got home but he never returned, he was killed in battle. Elizabeth was devastated. She gave birth to Liam, who became the prophet for the house of swords. She is a trusted adviser and good friend to many in the kingdom, she still has hard feelings against her father though. | The Knight is reckless and outspoken, always ready for opposition. He is quick to react and can often be childish or emotional. He is charismatic, clever, and and quick-witted. He is surprisingly philosophical and very brave although his bravery is in part due to his ability to jump to conclusions. He will fight heart and soul for a good cause. Triston grew up very close to Louis, they learned everything together and became close friends. He was married relatively young to a girl named Deirdre, they were hopelessly in love and by the time they turned nineteen they were ready to have their first child together, but Deirdre was killed in a raid, leaving Triston bitterly alone. When he was twenty-two his parents saw to it that he was re-married to Chloe (maiden name), who was only fourteen at the time. Triston didn't particularly like her and unfortunately they never learned to get along and neither were particularly faithful to their marriage. Triston and Chloe had their first and only child, Adrienne, three years after being married. Triston and Chloe adored Adrienne but still remained bitter toward each other. One night, when Adi was only five years old, Chloe, Triston, and one of Chloe's lovers Benjamin got into a fight which soon became physical. Benjamin and Triston both drew their swords and fought it out, but a missed sweep of Benjamin's blade caught Chloe in the chest. In his rage, Triston stabbed the other man. Benjamin died instantly, Chloe lived another day, only long enough to back up Triston's story. She died three days later, leaving Triston and Adi devastated. Triston has been incredibly protective of Adrienne over the years but has allowed her some amount of freedom. He has not yet fully recovered from his relationship with Chloe and so has stayed out of a third marriage. | The Page is young, naive, gossipy, and very charming. She is clever and frank. Adrienne is the only child of Triston and Chloe, she was well loved by both of her parents and since her mother's death has never been let out of his sight. She is now the Page of the Swords kingdom and trains alongside the soldiers and archers. Adi doesn't think before she acts or speaks, but she knows when she has done something wrong and is quick to apologize and make up for it. She is naive, curious, and silly, and her heart is always in the right place. She has been somewhat sheltered in her youth as she has spent so much of her time under the watchful eyes of her father but she has gotten the proper training of a soldier and a page. | The Ace of Swords is force, power, and ideas. Lily was always an ambitious and gossipy girl. She worked in the palace as a hand maiden ever since she was a little girl and she had an ear for gossip. If ever there was something going on, Lily knew it first. She has a way of weaseling information out of people even if they don't want to give it to her in the first place. She is subtly forceful but she always gets things done. With her silly antics and bright personality she soon became a personal friend of Elizabeth and was promoted. Lily is now Elizabeth's personal assistant, party planner, and confident. Lily is a wild party girl who is always up for anything. She is full of energy, life, and ideas. Relationships: BFFs with Elizabeth, Kohaku, and Amara She's had multiple lovers | ||||||||
