Speaker For The Diodes - July 14th, 2011

"I'm an intersex male that underwent an unusually 'successful' gender assignment as an infant. Lately, I've come to understand that though my parents truly meant the best for me, the surgeries and hormones I endured were ultimately not for my sake.

"Rather, they were meant to appease the bullies (both young and old) who feel uneasy when confronted with something outside the gender binary. As people have mentioned, intersex conditions are not pathologies. Rather, they are differences in gender expression-- something to be cherished rather than pathologized."

A phrase that leapt to mnd for obvious reasons:
a cat decorating the room by draping herself artistically over various things.
