"I once pissed off a roomfull of economists by declaring that not only was economics not a science, but it was nothing more than an apologetic for the existing social order. And not a very good one.
"That was at an annual meeting of economics students and professors in New York (they invited me because I was an organizer for the IWW and they wanted a 'different viewpoint').
"They didn't invite me back the next year."
