With the Manning story, [Janet] Mock said, "it took days to get to the media to talk about healthcare and rights for prisoners, and those are the bigger issues. [Journalists] were hung up over 'he, she, Bradley, Chelsea' " instead of focusing on the question of how we should treat people when we incarcerate them.
