Turn the dark cloud inside out.
Talk of winning has been present on the network, as has talk of bodily harm. Some of you have known each other for nine months and some of you have known each other for over six years. Though vastly different, they are still long periods of time. I do not know if you like everyone you know because I know I don't. But for the next seven days, we ask you to join your friends and schoolmates.

Dodgeball may merit more feelings of self-preservation than cricket does but we are still making an effort together. I am not asking you to befriend Demelza, nor am I asking you to attend every practice Apollo Oldridge and I schedule. This may be the first and last time we do such a thing as a school. There is a difference between witnessing a small group of individuals accomplishing something and you accomplishing something for yourself, even if the sport is Amer it is dodgeball. If every student takes time out of his or her busy, busy schedule and just gives all he or she can and a little more, I think we can all be winners, despite whatever the outcome of the game.
