Test Scene [17 Jan 2011|03:47pm]
Jensen, or Hannah James as the carefully forged documentation she had provided upon her hire indicated her to be, settled in at work.  Mondays were always the busiest of days with patients calling for appointments after having had a weekend between them and normal health.  Most of the time it was nothing, but sometimes it was something so she couldn't blame them.  What she could blame, however, was that the usual receptionist was chronically not in on Mondays, leaving Hannah to man the front and do her usual job of handling the delicate dance of patient information and insurance coverage.

This was going to be a two pot of coffee and hour of I Can Has Cheezburger kind of day.  Mercifully, Joanne would catch the phone.  Hannah just had to catch the people coming in.

Cake.  She sat down at the desk, surreptitiously using a cable to plug into the computer she would be working on today.  It was just so she could get inside.  She'd disconnect quickly enough, once she had an understanding of the system.  The office updated things so haphazardly... A few seconds and she was done and on the job like a "normal" person, the doors open as the day began--complete with the phone going bonkers.

"Ah.  Monday."

Application [10 Jan 2011|08:58pm]
Player (nickname, handle)/ LJ: Nix

Email: on file

AIM (if you have one): on file

Character Name: Hannah Octavia Jensen

Character LJ (if applicable): hello_program

Physical description (face, build, weight):  5'9", 130 lbs, brown hair, brown eyes.  Jensen has what appears to be a USB port on the inside of her left wrist.  There is also a series of what appear to be thin cables under her skin along her spine.

Age: 25

Birthday: January 1, 1986

PB: (If using one.) Odette Yustman

Abilities: Jensen is a computer/human hybrid.  She has increased strength, speed, and endurance/stamina as her brain redistributes physical and metabolic resources in her body to maximize performance based on need and certain parts of her body are operated entirely by the technology integrated in her brain and body.  Specifically her entire left arm is mechanical (though it appears to be human) and her legs function as a result of wiring from the muscles to the computer augmenting her brain.  The computer-augmented portion of her brain is capable of storing and accessing incredible amounts of information/data and her left eye cybernetic, allowing her to scan.  She's WiFi enabled and plans to add 3G/4G capabilities.  Additionally, Jensen has training in Krav Maga, something she picked up as a hobby but has continued to perfect now that she has the ability to store and process detailed information on the subject.

Weaknesses and flaws: While she can store and analyze incredible amounts of data, like any computer it's a matter of finding where the data is stored.  In less than prime conditions her process time is slower.  Her body also works with energy much like a laptop does on battery.  The more systems she has to work with at anyone time, the faster her battery drains.  Her strength, speed, and stamina weaken as she discharges.  Electricity is her primary weakness and a severe thunderstorm can wreak havok with the computerized parts of her physiology.  Static electricity can force-reboot her.  Her left arm is also almost entirely robotic underneath her human skin.  Due to the modifications to her body and various injuries to her non-modified body, if the technology she houses fails, she is paralyzed from the waist down.

Character location/Home: New York

Alignment (villain, hero etc): Hero

Relatives (living/dead?): James and Rivkah Jensen, parents, deceased.

Backstory: Hannah Jensen was a computer programmer for OsCorp working with Dr. Brandon Necker on a bid for the Sentinel project with the US Government.  The two were working on integrating technology to optimize human performance in effort to great the ultimate soldier.  Dr. Necker and Jensen had been working on the project for several months with no breakthroughs, though during that time Brandon developed a crush on Jensen due to their close work.

One evening while working late, Brandon made a key breakthrough.  He called Jensen at home and asked her to come into the lab.  On her way to the lab, Jensen was in subway accident and suffered severe injuries--damage to her spinal cord, some head trauma resulting in the loss of her left eye, her left arm so badly mangled it had to be amputated..  Devastated and blaming himself for what happened, Brandon did something crazy, crazy illegal, and wholly unethical: he got Jensen transferred to a private hospital where he began the long process of implementing his experimental tech on her.

A year later, Jensen was a fully operational human/computer hybrid.  She still requires upgrades, many of which she can take care of herself (software, mostly) but occasionally she requires hardware upgrades and repairs which she has to see Brandon for.  However, Jensen no longer works for OsCorp.  After the success of his work Brandon realized that OsCorp would claim that they own Jensen as property so she resigned and now works in a medical office, visiting Brandon at home as needed.
