→ Setting out into the night, Pilot knew that it was going to be a long trip but he was going to go as far as he could until he found his brother. He didn't even look over his shoulder at the house as he kept on, alternating between walking and running. → On his way home from a particularly late open mic night at the Track Shack, Felix drove his small Geo back home toward Wolf Haven. His little care had a lot of miles on it from this drive, but the road was pleasant, and even at night, Felix could still take in the sights. When he saw the boy jog and then slow to walk on the side of the road, Felix frowned. Pulling over, he called to the kid. "Are you all right?" → Pilot was getting tired and he still wasn't anywhere near where he needed to be. Leaning his head down, he hadn't even though to try and flag himself down a ride. He put his hands on the edge of the window and he smiled at him. "Hey, would you mind giving me a lift? I don't think it's too much farther up the road from here." → Felix glanced down the road, then back at Pilot. "There's nothing down that way for miles and miles that you'd want to see." A lie he told to protect Wolf Haven. People knew about it, but people also knew not to go up there, since the owners were real stinkers about private land. "But I can give you a lift back into town, for sure." → "No, no thanks. Appreciate it though." He gave him a wave and leaned back from the car and started in that direction again. He figured that most people thought that there was no one out there because that was what the wolves wanted. Putting his hands on top of his head, he started walking again, trying to keep his breath up since he had finally caught it. → Frowning, Felix figured he'd better learn more about this. Moving the car at a crawl, he paced Pilot. "Where is it that you think is this way?" He passed it off as casual conversation, just some guy thinking this kid was mental for his persistence. → "My brother is staying somewhere up there and I'm going to just go and find him. It's all right, I'm sure that I'll find it on my own, so don't worry about it, all right? Have a nice night though and thanks for the offer to take me back into town though." He didn't think that he'd keep on him, mostly because he figured Felix was just some human. → Since the clueless townsperson act wasn't getting him anywhere, he went for mild scare tactics. "Woods up that way are really dangerous. Something's not right up there, you know? I don't think your brother would stay in a place like that. You must be mistaken." Felix hadn't put two and two together yet. Faris was still pretty new, and still pretty reclusive. Felix hardly ever saw him around enough to get to know him. → "It's really fine, trust me on that one." He said. "I'm just looking for my brother, I'll find him and you can go on about your business now, all right?" He was beginning to think that maybe Felix was one of those guys that was going to try and take advantage of him, that sort of creepy feeling was drifting over him. → Felix laughed a little at the idea of trusting this kid to know what the hell he was getting into. Looking more closely at him, he noticed the small wounds on his shoulder and neck. It would have been impossible for a human to see those in such darkness, but Felix could smell them too. "Did Bernadette send you?" Maybe this was another Lewis. → That stopped him and he leaned down to look in the car at Felix again. "No, she didn't send me. Bernadette wouldn't tell me where to find him and no one would until Hugo did. And now I know where he is and I'm going to find him and I think you should just leave me alone now, please." Pilot's tone was much mroe serious now, he wasn't having fun with Felix. → It was a good bet that Pilot knew exactly where he was going. That made Felix's stomach tighten. Stopping the car, he waved the kid off, bidding him some form of good luck before reaching for his cell phone and calling Hunter. At least he could warn them of the unexpected guest. Either that, or Hunter could tell him what to do. → When Hunter heard the god awful sound of rap he knew that it was his cell phone. Picking it up off of the desk he opened it up and he brought it to his ear. "Felix." He knew it was him because of the call display. "What is going on?" he never got calls from felix unless something happening. → "There's a human headed for Wolf Haven. Won't take no for an answer." As he talked it out, Felix was starting to get the picture. "Says he's looking for his brother." It fell in to place and he sighed with the realization. "He smells like vampire though and he knows who Bernadette is." → Hunter was quiet for a moment as he thought that one through. "What does he look like?" Because he had seen Pilot and he figured that there was a chance that he'd managed to get to Bern's and then find them, though he wasn't sure how he had gotten tipped off that the wolves were here. → Even though this scenario wasn't really all that funny, Felix laughed anyway when Hunter asked what he looked like. "He's real pretty to be honest. Blonde, skinny." He wondered what the kid was thinking now that Felix had just stopped his car in the middle of nowhere. → "Pick him up. Bring him here. Tell him Hunter said he'll be waiting." And with that, Hunter hung up the phone and sighed. He was going to have to go and get Faris but he wanted to talk to Pilot alone first. → Squinching his face up at the instructions, Felix let his phone snap shut and he started the engine again. When his lights came to life, he could see Pilot down the road a ways. Shifting it into gear and pulling up beside him, he leaned out the window again. "Funny how we keep meeting like this, yeah? Get in. Hunter's going to be waiting for you when we get there." → He was about to tell felix to fuck off but then Felix mentioned Hunter and he stopped. It took a few seconds for him to convince himself that this was okay and then he slid into the passenger seat, staying as close to the door as he could manage. "You are kind of creepy." he told him. "And that says a lot considering I just came from the vampire house." → Felix got his feelings easily hurt, but he never showed it, offering Pilot a shrug. "Yeah, I know. Pulling over to try and prevent dumb kids from getting themselves into situations they can't handle. Really creepy." He glanced over at Pilot, gesturing to the wounds on his neck. "They eat brains now too?" Because clearly Pilot wasn't in possession of one at the moment. → "No. My brother is with Hunter. I'm going to find him." There wasn't anything that was going to stand in his way at this point. "I have to see him, I have to see Faris. You can't keep him from me. It's not right." → "I'm not keeping anything from you." Not that he was blaming Hunter, he just wanted to reiterate what a bystander he'd turned out to be. Felix was often an outsider to such matters, and he liked it just fine that way. "I had a sister--then I had a pack. Can't have both in cases like this." Because Pilot was definitely not a wolf. → "THen he'll have a brother." Because Pilot wasn't going to let Faris get away from him this time. "I dont' want to talk about it anymore or how you all kidnapped him away to this place. Just take me to find him." → Felix had to laugh at that. He sped up a little with urgency to get Pilot to their destination. "With an attitude like that, Hunter's going to just toss your dead body in the river." Mostly a joke, but Felix wasn't entirely certain that it couldn't get to that point eventually. → "Better dead than without Faris." When they got to the house he got out of the car, closing the door behind him. Hunter was waiting on the porch and he watched as Pilot came up to him. "Felix, could you fetch Faris. Don't tell him PIlot is here yet. Pilot, please come inside." → Felix obeyed, glancing briefly between the two of them, thinking how much he'd like to be a fly on the wall of that conversation. Turning to seek out Faris he used his nose to try and pinpoint his location. It wasn't long before he found him and lured him back to the main house with promises of cupcakes. Faris went into the kitchen, and frowned when he didn't smell any freshly baked goods. → Hunter lectured Pilot for near half an hour before he came out of the study to go into the kitchen. Pilot trailed after him and when Hunter stopped in the door he was hiding Pilot behind him. "Faris. You have a visitor." he said, moving to the side so that Pilot was visible to him. He was looking a little sheepish and sort of like he had been put in his place more than enough times. → Faris had honestly convinced himself that the lingering scent of familiarity that clung to the path Felix and he had taken to the main house was just imagination. But when he saw Pilot, he realized that it was because his brother was actually here and had walked that path. Eyes flinging wide, he launched himself at the other boy, tackling him to the ground, sending them both sailing out of the kitchen doorway, past Hunter, and into the main foyer. → Pilot let out a grunt when he hit the floor and he wrapped his arms around Faris as tightly as he could get them to go. He was crying already, his body shivering . "Faris, I missed you so much, I missed you." he felt like they had been away from one another for far too long. "Please don't let me go away, please don't make me go." → Kissing his brother's forehead, and cheeks, he was barely able to contain the excitment erupting through him. He rolled them so that Pilot was on top and wrapped his arms around him, fully intending not to let him go. If they had to stage a lie-in, then Faris would stay right there no matter what. Seeking out the wounds he could smell, Faris ran his tongue over them before realizing that wasn't his human side. "Pilot." Was all Faris could think to say. → "Everyong kept lying to me, everyone kept saying you weren't here, but you are here, I knew you were." he hugged him tightly, burying his face down against Faris' shoulder. "I wasn't going to give up until I found you. I couldn't." he clung to him a little tighter, fingers curled in against his shirt as if that might keep him from slipping away. → Eyes squeezed shut, Faris imagined that he could make them disappear together like this. "I'm sorry I didn't come back for you. I should have." According to Hunter, and seemingly everyone else, this was too dangerous a place for Pilot. He was beginning to believe that, but he didn't know what else to do. He couldn't be without Pilot, he just couldn't. → "Faris." Hunter said to him, breaking them from their moment. "You may take him to your room and he can stay the night, but keep him off of the grounds and out of the way of the other wolves. We'll have a discussion in the morning about what to do with him." → Just the night wasn't good enough, but Faris had learned that the more cooperative he was, the better chance Hunter was going to work in his favor. He bit his lower lip, looking up at Hunter from underneath Pilot. "Okay." He said, sitting up and plucking Pilot up with him. He kept a firm grip on his brother, as if someone might yank him away at any moment. He tugged him upstairs as quickly as he could without looking like he was fleeing.
