A little bit busy...

Been quite busy over the last couple days, had consulting on Monday and Tuesday and I went shopping with my Mom yesterday for my birthday. Unfortunately the Army Navy store is no longer in Burlington which sucks. I ended up getting some steel toe SWAT boots though and a new pair of Carhartts.

Keith aso came over last night, we were supposed to study for the Mac OS X Help Support essentials exam, but he brought over the Cloverfield DVD and we ended up watching all the special features and the movie. I love that movie, I finally saw the "thing" fall into the ocean in the last scene of the movie. I have no idea what it is and no body else does either. It was funny to see one of the special features, when they were filming in NY they had to keep everything under wraps and let nothing about the movie out. Every day they would change the name of the movie so no one had any idea what was going on...but even they, people/extras were taking photos on sets on loading them up on the net and by the time the directors got home, they were already up there on the net, crazy...I think they did such an awesome job on that movie! I've got the DVD now, and I am going to make a really nice rip of it, maybe a pure rip.

He got me an original DOS manual for the Apple II, still in like mint condition...it's probably worth like $5000 on eBay hahah That was just the joke gift though. He got me this kickass Gears of War poster. I'll be hanging it up later today, take some pictures of it :)

So we're probably going to Koto's, my favorite restaurant, this Saturday, which is my birthday! Then we're going out to the movies, that'll be nice. I am sad [info]makkintosshu won't be able to make it probably, but he's got some important family things to deal with, and we'll get together with them another time.

So I've gotten like 2500 Nintendo DS games, lots of Japanese ones, and lots of American ones to. I've really gotten into Professor Layton and the Crazy Village or whatever it's called. I also got Brain Age which I've been wanting for awhile, but I've not tried it out yet.

I've yet to modify my PSP, I just don't have the time to read through the directions and make sure I'm doing everything correctly. It'll be cool though, I've got some good games for it.

Today, nothing much going on, cleaning up the apartment, might go out riding, although it's a bit hot for me, maybe later this afternoon when things cool down. Never got my bike tire changed, so I might get that done today. I've started watching DEA (the Spike TV show), and it's okay. I don't think they've fired one bullet yet, it seems to be drama and it's kinda lame. Even Cops is better haha On DEA they've got all these badass guns, and they don't use them LOL. It's okay though...

I bought myself a Classic Army Armalite M15A4 RIS which looks like this:

I also got a SWAT flashlight mount for it, a vertical grip, 10 extra magazines, a quick loader, a smart charger, 4000 bbs, 2 batteries and a MICH helmet.

I also got some digital camo pants, jacket and a really kickass vest that has a pistol holster, 4-5 pistol magazine slots, 3-4 rifle magazine slots and spots for patches...it pretty much looks like this one but in digital ACU camo.

I've got a pretty good wishlist going on too. I've got the JG Full Metal MP5A5 RAS with a G&P Red/Green Aimpoint Replica, and a MadBull Gemtech "Blackslide" Barrel Extension. Also got a TM High Capa 4.3 pistol, OE TECH Hydration Backpack in ACU camo, the AMP Tactical Green Laser with Mount and also the woodland camo vest I linked to in the previous paragraph...

So hopefully I'll be getting my rifle and stuff in next week sometime and Greg (my best friend from grade school, middle/high school and pretty much for life) and I are going to play with some guys in Massachusetts. They've got like whole courses and things setup to play in. It looks so much fun so I cannot wait for that.

I definitely need to keep working cause my wishlist is like $600 lol...and I wanna get multiple magazines for that TM pistol...I also want to add a G36C to that list, so that's another $250-$300.

Ok, well I got some chores to get done, I'm out! Have a lovely day everyone!

Zack & Aerith

Had a bit of consulting yesterday, but that's about it. I did work on a couple websites and then did a couple other things I've been meaning to do for a while.

Today I did a bit of consulting, mostly through email but I did go to one place which was really close to where I live. Just troubleshot a printing issue. Fixed it though, going back their on Monday to do a RAM install. Should be good, keeps me busy.

Besides that there's something very important that needs to be taken care of. I went to ride my horse this morning and I noticed how terribly overweight he is. It seriously took like 5 minutes to get on the girth (the thing that goes under his belly and keeps the saddle on) because he's so tubby. So I'll be working with him a lot more to get him & myself back into shape. I promise not to leave Scribbld hanging but unfortunately he's a lot more important then this website. You shouldn't notice any difference but I'll be donating more time to his cause. We did go for a short ride today up the hill until we reached a point where he got a bit spooky and we turned around. It was a good ride considering I've not ridden since like December or something ridiculous. So yeah, that and getting my Apple certifications are my big projects right now...

[info]emilie and I are going to swimming tonight. It's going to be fun, the pool is always really warm. The weather is miserable but I think that'll be fun. Then we'll have a nice dinner, and watch a movie tonight. So glad it's the weekend too.

I got a $400 bonus from Small Dog which is wonderful, I definitely needed that, going to put $100 towards the credit card along with the $1600 I made from the sale of my MacBook Air and then using my tax refund and that should pretty much cover the Xserve and the crappy Windows laptop I had to buy for doing subtitles. And the other $300 I will use for spring shots for the horse.

I order this Nintendo DS flash card this afternoon, it was like $40 shipping for a little device that weighs less then 1lb. Haha I also got a 4GB MicroSD card. I also picked up a couple Nintendo DS ROMs, you know just to make sure the device works...I'd love to mod or get a modded PSP...but it's expensive, depends on how much I can bring in with this new job.

[info]emilie and I have been continuing to work on watching Azumanga Diaoh. She says it's growing on her which is great cause it's definitely funny.

I beat some more Crisis Core this afternoon. It's such a good game. I haven't really found a need for the guide to often, but it has some really good tips in it which is nice. I really love the story. I just met up with Aerith. According to the guide, I am about half way through the game, so that's cool.

Well I'm off to watch a movie or something, study some Japanese or something. Take care all :)

1 Game Down

I've been quite busy with work and playing some of my new video games. I am very close to beating Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker and I just beat The NEW Super Mario Bros. Bother very very good games.

I also attempted to play Assassin's Creed last night, but I think I was just to tired to comprehend what was going on in the game. The graphics are very very cool though, the controls and something that I've never experienced before, very new and unique. I think that game will have to wait until I actually have time to sit down and understand how it works. The story is also something that is something that I didn't think it would be. So yeah, it's good but I have to find some time to work with it.

Tonight (in about an hour) Emilie and I are going to this equestrian 4H banquet in Montpelier. I think that should be fun.

I didn't do much else today but work on Wind Waker and this Mario Bros. game. Fun times, I think tonight I will finish up Wind Waker and work on some homework.

I also am trying out Maple Story, but that too needs a lot of my time to understand how it works. I really want to setup a ROSE Online server, but I am not sure if they've got it working under Linux yet, we'll see. Or a Ragnarok Online Server...I do wish both of those had OS X client, it's to bad.

I finally picked up a copy of NewType before programming class on Thursday. It's this really nifty anime magazine I'd been hearing/reading about. It's actually really good, I like it a lot. The only downside is that it's pretty expensive...I might ask for a subscription for Christmas though...if you're into anime and stuff, definitely check it out.

Alright I am off to go do who knows what...
