History:
Helena Rosa Bertinelli was born into one of New York City’s biggest Mafia families. Her entire family (father, mother, and older brother) was murdered in front of her at age 8 in their family home. Helena was sent to Sicily to live with her cousins, the Asaros. They were an assassin family, which Helena would use to her advantage to learn how to punish those that destroyed her life. She was taught to defend herself by her cousin, Sal Asaro, member of a Sicilian assassin family, who also trained her in hand to hand combat and in a wide range of weapons. Sal and his father would later be arrested, resulting in Helena being sent off to boarding school in Switzerland. When Helena discovered her families dark secret, that they were involved in organized crime and that her family was one of the largest Mafia families in America, Helena would wage a war against organized crime. At the age of 16 she briefly returned to New York City in an attempt to discover her family’s assassin. She has been unsuccessful in narrowing down who did it, though she has several possibilities.

Helena would later attend the University of Palermo and, upon graduation, returned to New York City indefinitely. Reading about the Bald Knobbers as she studied American history inspired Helena to work on getting gear together using the money in her inheritance she received when she turned 21. She set her motif on the Cross Fox except switching out the red to purple for better skulking in the dark. She does have a secret identity as a school teacher at a private school.

What are your plans/goals for this character? How do you see them fitting in to the setting?
Huntress starts out as a vigilante in NYC, hunting and harassing the mafia. That should eventually get her attention. From there, it's pretty open to how she goes. Though I do want to play out her investigation of her family's murders and revelation of why she was spared and who her father actually is.
