Marlow lay face down on the TV room floor, snaking a feathered toy back and forth through the midst of five kittens, all of whom were attacking the brightly colored feathers and rolling around in adorable little bundles in front of her.
She tilted her to look up at Martin floating over them on a disk. "They're so cute. I don't know why anybody would hate kittens. You know one got out and found Mr. Kael and tried to climb his leg! He wasn't even mad when it happened." She sighed. "It would be fun to be a kitten, don't you think?"
