Nora Roberts - Black Rose
He didn't ask this time, just slid his hand that lay on her cheek around to cup the back of her neck. And this time the mouth wasn't light, polite or civilized. There was a punch of heat, straight to her belly, as his mouth crushed down on hers, as his body pressed, hard against hers. She felt that sizzle zip through her blood, fast and reckless, and let herself rid on it for just one mad moment.
The door in the east wing slammed, again and again, and the clock continued to chime, madly now, well past the hour of twelve.
He'd known she'd taste like this, ripe and strong. More tang than sweetness. He'd wanted to feel those lips move against his as they were now, to discover how that long, slender body fit to his. Now that he was, she settled inside him and made him want more.
Sorry guys Nora Roberts likes run-ons. Current Mood: cheerful Current Music: Saliva - Rest in Pieces

03:23 am - 25 Flavors: Crying. She was on the streets in Rome. Her Italian was broken and didn't help that she was crying. Her eyes were red. He had booted her to the door with little more than the clothes on her back. This is why she should have never left London. The stability of it is what she missed. She didn't want a world swept romance anymore. All sh wanted was to be back in the arms of Smeth.
Smeth, she thought to herself. She let out another sob, it wrenching from her head to toes. She couldn't afford a panic attack. Her hair was crumpled and so were her clothes. She sat in front of the Vatican trying to figure out her life. She had never been big on God but as she looked onto the beauty of the Vatican her tears subsided. She took a deep breath and then two and just buried her head into her hands and prayed. Prayed that God show her the light into her life and take her away from the problems she was now facing. She was broke, broken and had no way home to England.
A nun came out of the Vatican and approached her. Seeing a lone, destitute young woman the pious woman could not ignore her and spoke softly as she sat beside her on the stoop and said in Italian, "Bambino perché siete che gridate?*" The nun looked at Florence with kindly eyes as if they had traveled the world and understood it's mysteries. Florence took a deep breath and tried not to cry again.
She responded back in broken Italian, "Il ragazzo dà dei calci a fuori. Nessun posto da andare. Nessun che cosa da fare. Londra domestica. Nessun soldi.*" She buried her face in her hands and said again, "Lavoro di bisogno. Soldi. Stilista di capelli." The nun looked at her calmly and told her softly, "Siete in bambino che fortunato la chiesa richiede a qualcuno di tagliare il nun' i capelli e voi di s sareste perfetti. Può richiedere parecchi mesi ma Londra è possibile.*"
Florence looks up and said softly as she took the nun's hand in gratitude, "Grazie. Comincio oggi." The nun smiled and nodded, "Sì comincerete oggi." She took Florence's hand and took her into the nunnery where Florence would slowly earn her way back to London.

04:00 am - 25 Flavors: Maternal Love (as requested by Sab) She had sweat running down her cheeks and she was out of breath. She wasn't cut out for this as she sent a glare to her husband. She had been in labor for forty eight hours and neither baby had come out yet. Smeth went to take her hand and she squeezed it tightly. They were finally coming into the world Edward and Helena. She gnawed on her lower lip to prevent a scream. They were coming so quickly! Thank God, he hadn't insisted on being the healer for this process. She closed her eyes and gave that final push. She was never having babies again. She was never having sex again, damnit. This was too much. Helena, was officially out of her womb and she was able to catch her breath before Edward came roaring from behind not wanting to be far behind his sister. She didn't manage to hold back the scream this time and she collapsed back onto the hospital bed as she finished the work.
She closed her eyes for a moment as Smeth kissed her forehead. When she woken up the babies were swaddled and ready to be held. Her breath caught in her throat. Never again would she berate the process of life. Never before had she felt so much love for someone so tiny. She thought she could never feel more love than she did with Smeth but she was wrong. What and who they made together were so much more than that. A maternal love was forever and never breaking. She exhaled and rested her nose gently on Helena's head, "Smeth?" she called out softly.
He looked up tiredly, he had refused to leave the room or even sleep while Florence had been in labor. "Jenny? What is it? Do you need something?" She shook her head no, "I want more," she breathed out. Her eyes and body glowed with a love that no one could ever touch for her new family.
