Jen quickly packed her things. She had sent an owl to Estella and hadn't bothered sending one to Tobias. Estella would tell him and she didn't need the lecture. She chewed on her lip for a moment. Everything she wanted fit into one suitcase and to her, that was something to be ashamed of. She thought of Smeth and a small hurting of heart ensued. She shook her head clear. He was at work. She scrawled out a note and apparated to where he was staying.
She took one last look around his apartment before going into his bedroom. She left the small bit of parchment on his bed. She put a small white daisy on his bed so he knew that it was from her. It was tradition for her to do that. If she had to work late or if she had to help Estella with Jacob. She apparated out of the house and began to walk to her new future. She was meeting Ron at Heathrow.
When Smeth came home the note simply said;
Smeth,
I'm sorry. I'm leaving for Rome. This is goodbye.
