premise.
the year is 2010 and voldemort has long since been forgotten by most of the wizarding world. society has undergone very few changes for the past few years that this newfound peace had brought them but none can deny the society's acceptance of muggles, muggleborns, and the muggle ideas they introduce to wizarding world. what witches and wizards, however pure or otherwise, face now is the challenge of taking on everyday life, when the good and the evil are not as clearly defined.

[info]mugwump is an hp pb game that allows original characters aged 21 and above. explore the lives of the married, the engaged, the jobless, the shopkeepers, the lawmakers, the trained aurors, the fathers, the mothers, etc. the game is set during a team of "peace" and just like "pax romana", peace is never permanent. lovers of muggles rejoice in this change in society while the purists mourn their loss of power. what we know of history is that those who have tasted power can never relinquish it completely. the plot unravels as a new form of the power-hungry purebloods, this time more subtle but even more sinister, sneaks up on the unsuspecting public. by now, the intentions of this pureblood group to regain their hold on society is well-known to everyone but it is as much of a topic of conversation as obama's decision to run for president in 2008. it's all speculation, supported here and there by fact but not as a whole. the pureblood's intention to run will be announced in-game, as well as the anti-pureblood's intention to run against him.

the wizarding world finds itself in a position that is different but feels all too familiar. the rightists have banded together their private army and the leftists are recruiting supporters into their cause against the reinstatement of the old, purist ways. once again, they're torn between two sides, the rightist purists and the leftist anti-purists, each promising a world of possibilities and better lives. now it was only a matter of time before politics progress to violence and the wizarding world is back to where they've risen from only a few years ago.
