i'm so glad you'll be doing this. is there any way i can be notified when the purge is done? the journal i want (ashlee) has already been deleted, so i'm just wondering if it will get purged before the all the inactive accounts do or if i'll have to wait.

You won't really be notified, I might make a journal/community that contains a list of usernames so you can join the community and track it that way. That's the best I can do for notification right now.
