He's decided against deleting them but giving them back to the general public with accounts. Via [info]usernames, basically twice a month he'll create a list and within a limit timeframe someone can request up to 10 usernames that they'd like to own for themself. Inactive accounts are basically those who haven't validated their accounts. I don't know if he's decided on having any other guidelines that would qualify an account as 'inactive'.

Well I suppose you can make then donate. I think he is more for registering things to one email addy probably. I'm sure that generally just make as many accounts as you can use, try not to just sign up for the account to sit on the name.

Yeah, definitely. But if I wanna make another account, wouldn't I need to use one of my invitation codes from this account?

Yeah, that's the idea. When you click on 'use' on the invite page it takes you to the account creation page. When you request the email to manually validate the account it will not have your username in the email but when you click on the link and let the page load it will have the username and it will say that it's been validated.

When you create via one of your invite codes all it does is logs you out of your current account and into the one you just created.

Or.. did that not really answer your question?

Perfectly, THANK YOU! Letsmakebabiesnow.

Oh yeah! One more thing. I copied my GJ layout to see if it'll work, and it did, quite splendidly [see: http://www.scribbld.net/customview.cgi?username=the_patriot&styleid=555], but how do I set it so it can appear here: http://www.scribbld.net/users/the_patriot/ ?

Hee! You're welcome.

Uhm, I'm guessing you're still using S1?

or are you using S2?

Wait! I got it! I switched to S2 and didn't even realize it so I switched back to S1, and there it is, it works now.

Oh, and just to clarify, when I said ``Oh! And I was just informed that even if I donate or not, then my accounts only last for a certain amount of time. .. That true? 'cause if it does, that reallyreallyreally blows.`` I got that TOTALLY wrong.

I was just informed that journals don't get deleted, but paid features become unusable after a certain amount of time, at least thats how it works with LJ and whatnot. Is Scribz gon' do that? 'cause if I get 1000 icons [I read below] with a paid account, then lose them all ..

And it's pretty much a life time of paid status at the moment since I don't have the resources to track it.

And even if the time expires it usually makes icons inactive for a short amount of time so you can 'back them up' or what have you. So when you're logged in, they're there for you to see but you can't use them or see them if you're logged out nor can any other user/account see them.

Nope if you donate now, it's a paid account for life! But only until we get all donations for the new server. Then Paid accounts will become like those on LJ.

1 time a month, I can't handle 2 times a month, it's just way to time consuming. I'll have to update the info for [info]usernames.

Inactive is defined as some not validating the account via the email sent out when the account is registered.
