name: Kara Zor-El is her birth name. Of course, since it's not exactly a normal name (and Kara truly wants to be normal and blend in as much as she can), she's known to most everyone as Clare Danvers.

information: Kara Zor-El never knew the wonders of Krypton. Three years after it had been destroyed, those who were left formed a colony out in the stars; Kara was one of the first children born. Her parents, Zor-El and In-Ze were pleased to have their first child and doted upon the young Kara as she was growing up, or at least as much as they could as the colony tried to rebuild what they'd had back on their home planet. They named their new colony Argo City and their lives were content for quite some time.
