Diana Harvey

Born in Pleasantview in 1991. She has a younger sister, Priscilla for whom she feels very protective.

Her family has some pretty heavy secrets that she keeps, mostly that they're all involved in a pagan religion and that she's been initiated as a priestess into their sect. She's trying to prevent her sister from being indoctrinated, but she's not having much luck.

She went to her high school prom with Shylock Wilson. She had the idea that they should date for awhile last year (2010), but it ended amicably after being too weird.

She attends Heaton University and is currently studying liberal arts. She has yet to decide what she really wants to do.

Clair Whitmore

Born in Pleasantview in 1989 to Harrison and Kayla Whitmore. Her family is one of the richest in town, however they don't talk about her illness when she's home. She is the current heir to the Whitmore fortune, but her grandmother hopes to cut her out of the will if possible. Most of her other classmates wouldn't talk to her in high school because of the crazy things she was always saying.

She's been a patient at the Plesantview Mental Health Facility for eleven years, but she is frequently discharged because she functions well in PMHF and is later readmitted when she has outbursts in public regarding her seizures and OCD. She has attempted to keep up her studies while in the asylum, but is a few years behind her classmates.

She is fairly clairvoyant (as she often gets glimpses of the future during her seizure activity). She abuses capitalization in her writing and washes her hands obsessively.

She's a very nice person, concerned and caring about others. She tries to use her visions to help others.

One of her few friends is Amelia Doyle, but sometimes it's more like tolerating a bratty sister than having friend. Still, she's grateful to have that much. She trust Evangeline Rothschild while at the PMHF and feels a great deal of sympathy for the woman.

Clair doesn't like group/party situations, though Amelia is always dragging her to things. She gets very anxious because she doesn't know when or how her clairvoyance could manifest; in a group situation this sometimes proves disastrous.

Gray Stone

Gray has lived in Pleasantview for almost his entire life. Born in 1967 and raised in the same town he was born in. He is something of an father figure to his is niece Amelia after the death of her parents (Gray's sister Alicia and brother-in-law Jacob Doyle) and is in fact her legal guardian.

At a young age he knew he wanted to be a writer and he never faltered in seeking out his dream career. He was published at the age of 17, a full length novel and has written at least one novel every year since.

That changed when he met Evangeline. He fell immediately in love with her, however the words stopped and he hasn't been able to write a single thing in the two years (almost) that they've been together. He's willing to forsake the words so long as he can have Angel.

They married this summer and he is attempting to write a novel closer to the cuff, something more like his real life than the fictional worlds he previously created.

Evangeline Marguerite Rothschild

Born in 1972 in Pleasantview. During her childhood Evangeline saw visions of the blessed mother. She's also had "a night of screams." Her parents placed her in the Pleasantview Asylum for the Insane where she spent over two years, fighting the visions and eventually she learned not to tell anyone about them. When she returned home she was sullen and moody. Mostly, she kept to herself.

Several years passed with pleasant visions of the holy mother. Until she went to college. Then the screams started again in her sleep. She started drinking coffee and abusing caffiene pills to keep from sleeping. She is quite possibly the worst insomniac in the world.

She's often been a loner, moving from place to place and never settling down. She writes song lyrics and sells them when she isn't working as a therapist (as she can only take so much).

She met Harper Grace in a doctor's office, trying to get meds for her visions (which by the way, doesn't stop them, just calms her nerves). They hit it off immediately and have been friends since, losing touch from time to time but always reconnecting.

Her nickname is Angel, coined by her dad, Dr. John Rothschild.

She is also a crazy cat person. She has three cats: Leah, Rachel and Dinah. They are loving creatures, all three girls. Dinah is the youngest, an orange, black, and white calico. Rachel is next youngest, a big orange cat. Leah is the eldest, a sleek black cat with white paws.

Angel moved from NYC to Pleasantview to work in the asylum there. It's a strange move since she was a patient there. She met Gray Stone, a favorite author of hers. They became involved and have since married each other. When she sleeps in the same bed as Gray the terrors seem to happen less; he's the best thing that's ever happened to her.

Jane is best friends with Jack Swann. She dated Elle Mann briefly, though she struggled sharing her girlfriend with Dick Crittenden. She got accepted to a better school than PCC and left with no regrets. She tries to keep in touch with Jack, but he's a pain in the ass.

Amelia Doyle

Gray Stone's niece. Orphaned at a young age, Amelia was left in the care of her uncle. She is currently a student at Heaton and shares an apartment with Leif Worth.

Elle Mann

Born in 1978. Elle moved to Plesantview three years ago to be closer to her sister Kylie, who is a patient at the Plesantview Asylum. She bought the Pleasantview Cafehouse and renovated, making it a viable business.

She's friendly, but closed off, often times keeping a lot of herself away from others. She can be spontaneous and surprising, though often times she leans toward her workaholic side. She proclaims herself polyamorous, but having many decent relationships helps her avoid having one good one and having to share more of herself than she's willing to.

Her most recent girlfriend Jane Carter broke it off with her when she was accepted to a good school away from Pleasantview. She fell out of her relationship with Rich Crittenden.

Kylie Mann

Born in 1980. Kylie is sex addict with trouble connecting to people beyond the physical level. She is Patient Number 1082 at the PMHF. Not a great deal is known about Kylie's past as part of her patient/doctor confidentiality; she won't tell anything otherwise. She is extremely close with her sister Elle. She hits on every other patient (typically the guys, but she'll bug the girls now and again as well). She has a particular fascination with Nicholas. She started a physical affair with Jack Swann, and began connecting to him on a deeper level than she thought possible.

Kylie was released from the PMHF once she admited that she was in fact once a transgender boy (named Kyle) who had surgery to become a girl. She has made tremendous strides since her release.

She and Jack took it easy for awhile so that they could both deal with her physical and emotional reality. They have begun to be more physical with each other and Kylie is working up the courage to ask Jack to move in with her.

Jack Swann
Born in 1982 to Beth and Jack Swann (he's a junior, but since the death of his dad he doesn't add it to his name). His father and younger brother died in a car accident when he was little. He doesn't particularly feel it anymore and got past the grief a lot faster than his sister (Jen) and mother did. He decided not to go to college, even though his mother was willing to pay for it. He currently lives in her basement. He works as a janitor at Pleasantview Mental Health Facility.

Jack's left eye was injured in a potato gun incident. During surgery to repair the damage the doctor made a mistake which cost Jack his vision in this eye. He sued the hospital and made a huge amount of money in the settlement. He could quit his job and move out of his mother's basement, but he hasn't had the motivation to do either thing.

Jack began dating one of the patients at the PMFH, Kylie. He had a sour reaction when he learned that Kylie was transgendered, but after a good chat with his best friend Jane he realized that he was love with Kylie and that her gender didn't matter.
