Wand: Delicate birch with core of unicorn hair, eight inches.
Boggart: Her mother as a zombie, ravenous and uncontrollable.
Patronus: Tatum's charm appears in the form of an ovenbird. The ovenbird's song comes in mid-summer, which symbolizes the midpoint of life's journey, the peak of growth and maturity. It implies that life is a journey along a highway, and that progress through life can be compared to the changing of the seasons.
Animagus Form: Ovenbird.
Religious Affiliation: Her family is a practicing Roman Catholic household, but Tatum is a bit lapsed in the subject. Religion does not always sit well with her. She doesn't dislike the idea of faith; more so she dislikes the people who use their faith as a tool for hatred and bigotry. She sometimes gets back into her religion more heavily when feeling particularly guilty about something. But she still is not at all as deeply devout as she leads her parents to believe.

Detailed Description:
Tatum's hair reaches just past her shoulders. She is a natural redhead, with a deep rust colored hair when left natural. It's mostly straight, sometimes with a little wave, but nothing incredibly noticeable unless she puts in the effort. Mostly her hair hangs, reaching her shoulders and gently framing her face and occasionally getting in her eyes. She sometimes pulls it back or up if she's concentrating particularly hard. She actually isn't usually a fan of her natural hair color, and she has been known to occasionally dye and charm her hair into different shades and add streaks, etc.

Her skin is incredibly pale and burns quite easily in the sun. She is the type of girl that just doesn't tan well, and is usually devoid of color even in the hottest of summer months. She has a smattering of pretty light freckles over the bridge of her nose and her cheeks, as well as on some other parts of her body including her shoulders and arms. She doesn't care much for a lot of make-up, other than eye make-up and lip gloss.

Her eyes are a dark chocolate brown. She has a somewhat narrow face with thin lips and a slightly pointy nose. Her height reaches just less than five feet and five inches, with a thin physique and a generally frail appearance. Her stature is almost boyish, always skinny and slouching. Her hips and chest area are rather narrow and flat respectively. It is in these areas where she seems to still be waiting to grow despite being nearly eighteen. Her ears are pierced twice in each, usually with just a pair of plain studs in them. She also has her tongue pierced, usually with a simple silver barbell stud. She got it during the summer between 10th and 11th grades with permission of her father; a late present for her sixteenth birthday.

Tatum's fashion sense could only be described as casual. She wears what she pulls off of the floor or out of her closet in the morning, and is an avid shopper from second-hand shops and thrift stores. If it looks cute, and she finds it comfy to wear, then she is likely to be found wearing it. A lot of graphic tee shirts, hooded sweaters, sunglasses, hats, sneakers, plaid, silver jewelery, and scarves. When she isn't in school uniform. She likes brands such as DC, Vans, Hurley, Roxy, Billabong, etc. She also likes a lot of girly shirts with cute patterns, sometimes argyle or plaid, as well as skinny jeans to the max, and loads of sneakers and or flats.

Personality-
Likes: Music [even rap!], reading, writing, guitar, vinyl records, old films, photography, yoga, biology, life sciences, cheese and crackers, skateboarding [and skateboarding culture], surfing eBay, girls, coffee drinks such as lattes and mochachinos, nature, marijuana [and marijuana culture], animals, hanging out and chilling, jamming, fresh baked cookies, sex, rice candy, and pink & black together.
Dislikes: Failing tests, her inability to quit online games, [most] romantic comedies, potion brewing, intense mathematics, seafood, awkward situations, giving speeches, talking to new people, being on bad terms with Frankie, the color teal, mushrooms [especially on pizza], dry spells, getting busted, dark chocolate, bigots, being judged/talked about, and paisley patterns on dresses.

Quirks:
~ Tatum has an ridiculous affection for old timey things. Antiques, the history channel, old movies, old music, black & white photography, ancient architecture. Other than the lack of awesome electronic inventions back then, she sometimes thinks she was meant to born circa some other time period.

~ It comes as second nature to her to berate Mack and call her disgusting sometimes, but she actually finds the blonde girl really funny. She has always said a lot of the gross things Tatum thinks but never has the balls to blurt.

~ Despite having a police officer for a father, Tatum smokes away almost all of her free time, or usually has a joint rolled on her somewhere. She is pretty much perma-fried on a good day. She feels that it not only helps her chill, but makes her anxiety a lot easier to deal with. When she doesn't trip balls on a bad hit or something.

~ Owns a Claddagh ring, given to her by her father for her twelfth birthday. Tatum has worn it on her right hand every day since. As tradition calls for, she switched to wearing heart-side facing inward since she has begun dating, in order to indicate her romantic status. Her heart has been, as shown by her ring, captured.

~ Her guitar is named Bolan, after Marc Bolan.

~ Recently gave up her music snob image. Tatum is finally just starting to admit that she listens to, and loves, pretty much all types and kinds of music. No matter how mainsteam it is. Some of her favorites now openly include Wiz Khalifa, Lady Gaga, and Dev, along with old favorites like Fleetwood Mac and the NESkimos. It feels good to listen to whatever.

~ Despite spending a large majority of her time practicing guitar and singing, her incredibly shy nature keeps her from performing in front of many other people. Though she wants desperately to be a part of a band someday, even if she won't admit it.

~ Tends to steal hoodies, sunglasses and hats from Mack on a regular [nearly daily] basis.

Secrets:

~ Though she loves Mackenzie completely, she doesn't think she'll entirely ever get over Frankie. She'll always be her first love, and when they're alone the brunette still makes her palms kind of sweaty and her heart kind of fluttery.

~ Tatum is actually loving this basically getting along with Sera situation they seem to have reached. Hell, she might even be starting to respect her little sister or something.

~ She is a complete virgin, and practically green. Other than once kissing a girl in her hometown during a junior high summer vacation, Frankie is the only girl Tatum had ever kissed. She wants the courage to go further, especially with Frankie, but finding the confidence isn't as easy as it would seem.

~ She doesn't deliberately hide her sexuality, but she also doesn't really talk about it. Tatum is a more of a guarded person rather than an ashamed person, and she isn't exactly open and out there with her sexuality to every single person just yet. If people catch on, that's fine, but she just finds it awkward to discuss. Straight people don't go around telling you by the way they're straight, right?

~ Listening to Teenage Dream by Katy Perry makes her extremely emotional.

~ She is ashamed to say that she isn't big on Audrey Hepburn, even if she is the quintessential vintage movie darling. Despite Tatum's obsession with all things dated, there is just something about Audrey that she doesn't care for. She just has that bitch face.

~ On a total whim [and her step-mother's pressuring], she tried out for Sonnier's cheerleading squad in ninth grade. She did terribly, and hasn't talked about it/confronted the memory since. She is just hoping all other people present have forgotten, or graduated.

~ She can be caught singing alone in her dormitory, often with headphones on, totally oblivious to the world. Dancing sometimes accompanies this if the weed is really good.

~ She is working her senior year as the school's resident dealer, taking over from Charlie with him as her supplier. She's really trying to toughen up, but knows she has Mack behind her as her muscle if she needs it.

~ Flashed Apple briefly at the 2011 Mardi Gras party.

~ In August, she and Frankie started growing several small weed plants in the woods behind her house in Maine. She knows how Mack feels about the situation, but she doesn't let it deter her. Frankie is still one of her best friends and it's turning out to be an amazingly fun project. As long as her dad doesn't find out or something.

~ She's really learning to dig and embrace this whole new found sexy side that she has. Even if she only makes her perverted comments to Mack, it still makes her feel sort of empowered or whatever.

Detailed personality:
Tatum is an incredibly quiet girl when you first meet or approach her. She possesses a bit of a guarded personality. Although she can be truly naive in some respects, she is also very intelligent. She does well on most classes, and keeps a very nice grade average [though pale in comparison to her younger sister] and she is far from dumb. Her street smarts may sometimes lack from a slightly sheltered upbringing, but she knows the way of the world and rarely allows people to fool her. At least not twice.

She is the type of girl who trusts a friend with her whole self, and once crossed by a person, her trust for them will always be a little damaged. However, this trusting disposition leads to a very open friendship with anyone whom deems her worthy of their approval. Tatum is also known for an almost obsessive type of love; throwing herself fully and hastily into romantic relationships, however brief and one sided, and finding herself unable to let go when things finish. On a one-on-one basis, she is calm and casual, and usually only speaks up in an aggressive manner when she sees it as being fully necessary to do so. Which isn't often at all.

She's sometimes willing to stand up for others if really pushed, especially her good friends, but it takes a lot of pressure and the right circumstances to push her over the edge. Generally she doesn't have very much of a temperamental side on the average day. Tatum doesn't really socialize with too large of a group, but she can usually be seen skulking around campus with her few friends or heading to classes or back to her dorm to chill. She speaks fluent English, and she understands a fair bit of French. Enough to get by at least. Probably due to the fact that her younger sister and step-mother are both fluent in it, as well as her ex-girlfriend.

The biggest flaw people find in Tatum is just exactly how shy she really is, almost painfully so. Polite, quiet, and down to earth would be a quick explanation for her external personality. When she doesn't know a person, situation, or area, then she is withdrawn and awkward, and can usually be caught stammering or mumbling her speech. Nothing makes her more anxious than unfamiliarity, but it is something than she is learning to deal with as she grows older. When she was younger and before attending CCI, she was able to stick with a group of closer muggle friends that she and her brother grew up with and just avoid situations she disliked. However, she's found it harder to do that away at school, especially compared side-by-side to her little sister every day by peers and professors alike. She and her sister get along pretty poorly most days, since Sera is every bit the opinionated and brash individual that Tatum cannot bring herself to be. Yet when they need each other, they're more than a perfect example that blood is thicker than water. Their relationship continues to get better as they grow older.

Tatum tries not to let her shyness define her, if she can help it. Once you get to know the girl, she is really quite friendly and helpful, and has an excellent sense of humour and a decent taste for adventure. She loves to listen and offer advice, and always ready with a joint and a chill session or a random drive around just to get away. As rare as the goofy friend side might be, viewed only by those closest to her, it is there. She is a true friend through and through, loyal and always ready to support and lend a hand to people who need her, even if she doesn't have a lot of confidence in herself and her own abilities.

Her lack of confidence is another of her major personal flaws, being that she really doesn't think much of herself. She considers her success with academics to be mere flukes, and her appearance is something that she is frequently embarrassed over. She doesn't see why anyone, let alone girls like Frankie and Mackenzie, would want to be with a skinny little wimp like her. She is quite bothered by her less than feminine physique. She finds it rather awkward to have the body of a ten year old boy when she's a seventeen-going-on-eighteen year old girl. She knows there isn't anything she can do about it, but it is still something she dwells upon at times.

Personal History:
Tatum's upbringing was nothing short of ordinary. There was nothing incredibly outstanding about the parents who gave her life, or about the life they gave her. The life that she lived with her friends and family in the state of Maine. Her mother, Claire, was a witch born in New York city. She moved to live in Maine just after she graduated from Salem Institute. Arriving in Maine, Claire became a muggle nursing student, where she met Tatum's father. Michael Donnelly was a muggle police officer in training when he met Claire. He was northern Maine born and raised in the town of Portage Lake, although both of his parents were first generation Irish immigrants. His culture and religion are both very important to him, and he still tries to instill that in his children, perhaps sometimes too much. The first children born to her father and only children born to her mother, Tatum was a second-born fraternal twin with a six-minute older brother named Rath.

Tatum's biological mother passed away shortly after the twins were born. When they were a few months old, she stepped out to run to the store and never came back home. She dropped to the ground, dead, while shopping; doctors later confirmed that it was a brain aneurysm and there was nothing that anyone could have done given the circumstances. In respect to the anniversary of her mother's death, August can sometimes be a touchy month for Tatum. Neither twin got to really know their biological mother all that well, outside of stories their father told them and piles of old photographs, most of them packed away upstairs.

Spending her childhood hours in the attic looking at photo albums of her parents in happier times is probably where Tatum's love for photography and artifacts of the past was born. Just before the one year anniversary of the death of his first wife, Tatum's father married another woman, a close friend of Claire's by the name of Madeline Rousseau.

She was a Parisian born witch, whom originally came to North America for work, ending up at the same hospital as Claire. She helped Michael with the twins, being in their life before even their first birthday. She also helped him move through the loss of Claire, and the grief of becoming a young widower so suddenly and unexpectedly. The couple was quick with their nuptials, and just a month after their wedding, Madeline was pregnant. They produced a daughter, whom they named Seraphim.

Their father was a police officer for as long as Tatum could remember, very serious about his profession and a man who worked hard to support their family. He was chief of their town's local force by the time the twins were fourteen. Thus he didn't have much time to spend at home with his children, making his presence slightly absent some days. Their step-mother was a woman who worked hard as well, with a position within the Administration of American Wizards, and spent no more time at home than her husband did. The three children spent a lot of time learning things themselves, playing alone, or teaching each other the ways of life. All while passed through a series of various babysitters until the twins were old enough to stay home alone and sit their sister. They experienced very few family dinners, but they were content, for it was what they knew.

Growing up, her brother was always one of her closest friends, and they were always there for each other, ready to support each other when need be. Perhaps it could be said that it was because of the 'bond' or 'connection' that twins are supposed to have. Tatum would rather believe that they get along because her brother is generally a kind and likable individual. With loads of things in common, Tatum sometimes feels as if they truly are identical. Even their thoughts seem often the same. With her younger sister, the bond was not quite as thick or quick, since she was so incredibly different from the twins in both appearance and personality. That was, of course, not to say that the twins did not love their sister or vice versa. Rather just that they easily recognized the differences between them, and Sera was quite ready to do the same.

When the twins turned school age, Tatum received her letter of acceptance Crescent City Institute. It had been 'the greatest available schooling choice despite the distance', according to her step-mother. It was there, or Beauxbatons. Given the choice, Tatum had quickly decided southern part of the country would be less scary than leaving the whole continent. They spent nearly a month waiting to see if Rath's acceptance letter would arrive, perhaps lost in the mail some place, but there was no such luck. This was of no particular surprise to their step-mother, who had been worried for a number of years about her step-son's lack of showing any magic at all to that point. Both of his sisters showed their magic when they were in muggle primary school, and Rath had never shown a thing in his life that Madeline could recall. Receiving rejection for him from a school was no big surprise.

It was their step-mother who explained the concept of squib to the twins, though she assured them both that it was nothing to be ashamed of, and that magical blood simply skipped people at times. Though she was anxious about the idea of leaving home, and leaving her brother, Tatum was nervously excited at the prospect of Crescent City and the experiences to come. By the time that the first day came, she had her bags full and packed, and was waiting with held breath for her move to NOLA, where she would take the plunge to her new school.

For a leaving home present, her parents purchased her an orange male tabby kitten to take to school with her and to keep her company. She named him Teagan, and has had him ever since that day. Although he's become much chubbier and lazier over the years.

Now years later, things aren't quite as exciting as when she was younger. Sera has joined her since then, even in the same house, giving her a familiar around every corner. Lessons have gotten duller, become a bit droll, since it's become her regular old routine school now. All of the first year jitters are gone these days. She has met people, pulled all-nighters, joined clubs, gotten a girlfriend, broke up with a girlfriend, gotten a girlfriend back, taken brilliant pictures, learned some new guitar chords, had even more girlfriend drama, and even failed an exam or two.

But over all, she still quite enjoys attending CCI and is glad that she agreed to come along. She plans to keep her marks up, since she'll be graduating next year, moving onto the wide world after that. Medicine, combining both wizard and muggle, is her future career plan if all goes well.
