Kyle was extremely surprised at her lack of hostility, it made for a nice change to say the least. It make have also contributed to putting him in a very good mood just then, even if Piper was agonizing over her assignment.
He picked it up and looked at it quickly, and as soon as he saw the words 'transfiguration' and 'nonverbal' he started pretending to read with that glazed look over his eyes before setting it down. "It looks fine to me, Pete."
He decided to talk again before she could call his bluff, he had dropped transfiguration a long time ago and he was sure she probably knew that. "So, break time then? Wizards Chess?"
