Memcached, Kernel & More...

Yesterday we got hit pretty hard, we had over 750 new accounts registered. I've got memcached running and we're definitely looking into running MogileFS. Also more memcached servers would be nice too.

I upgraded the kernel on the server to make sure it was taking advantage of the dual core processor in the system, that really seems to have helped the situation.

Updated some S1 code since it was reading Scribbld.com and not Scribbld.net, thanks to

raskolnikov for reporting that.

Also I've done a bunch of FAQs and more are coming.

Hi Jimmy! I hope this is an okay place to ask a question. I was given ~isobel on usernames weeks and weeks ago. It's been validated, I've checked about three times, and yesterday someone began attempting to get the password. Initially I wasn't worried, my password still worked, but now this morning it no longer does. I am 100% positive I validated (I literally checked AGAIN yesterday three times to be sure) and I am sort of upset because I have had security breeches in the past. Not to mention the fact that I am actually just about to start using the journal.

I was wondering what happened or what you might be able to do?

I hate to be too annoying, but I have another question that I don't yet see on the FAQ. Will there be limits on how many friends one can add? If so, do you have any idea what that might be and if it would vary depending on account?
