Bradford Anderson Abilities: Intuitive Aptitude, Simple-Complex Machines: Jason is a mutant with a superhuman intuitive talent for inventing mechanical devices, backed up by the ability to visually perceive mechanical energy in action. He can instinctively recognize the potential and functional uses of any machine in his visual range, a skill that combined with his natural intelligence gives him the ability to conceive, design and build highly advanced mechanical devices and operate, modify and disassemble existing technology or create countermeasures for it. Jason’s subconscious often works out much of the detail involved in creating his inventions; often times, Jason will need to take his inventions apart in order to understand how they work, as he usually does not often remember where he got the ideas. Jason is also independently wealth due to his work building weapons for the mob, and also creating a First-Person Shooter video game “The Legend of Stone Cold Steve”. Weaknesses and flaws: Jason can get lost in his work, lapsing into fugue while his mind develops new inventions. If not monitored, Jason usually does not come out of his lab. He also has a penchant for referring to people by nicknames given on the spot. Character location/Home: Bon Temps, LA Alignment (villain, hero etc): Hero Relatives (living/dead?): Carter and Linda Howard (parents, deceased), Evelyn Hale (Grandmother, living) Backstory: Jason Howard Landon grew up in Bon Temps, Louisisna under the care of his grandmother Evelyn after the deaths of his parents. His older brother, Jacob, fell in with the darker elements of the city not long after their parents passing, working for a mob kingpin by the name of Derrick Connors. Jacob made sure his grandmother and brother were taken care of, and Jason idolized his older brother. One evening, Jacob came home to find Jason taking apart his gun to see how it worked. The older man was angry until he watched Jason put the weapon back together piece by piece. Two months later, the Connors Organization had the equivalent of military-grade weaponry available to them, due to Jason’s mutant gift of Intuitive Aptitude. The Outfit held Bon Temps in an iron grip for years until a S.H.I.E.L.D team working undercover managed to break the crime ring. Jacob was arrested on multiple charges and sentenced to twenty-five years to life in Fort Leavenworth Federal Penitentary. Jason might have gone the same way as well, but the U.S. Government didn’t want a talent like his going to waste. In exchange for lowering his brother’s prison time and the possibility of parol, Jason agreed to work for whichever outfit he was assigned to. S.H.I.E.L.D picked him up first. He has no criminal record, but it’s been explained to him that if he doesn’t follow through on the deal, Jacob goes to Pelican Bay Penitentary, SHU Lock-up program, which is practically a death sentence, and Jason will end up in the cell next to him, most likely. How do you plan to introduce the character to the game?: Jason will join S.H.I.E.L.D in order to keep from testifying against his older brother, who is a mobster. What are you planning to do with this character?: Build awesome weapons and go on adventures with S.H.I.E.L.D. What do you want to see happen with this character?: I’d like to see Jason socialize with people and, hopefully, not get too lost in his work. I’d also like him to build friendships with others.
