Back from space. Back from fighting Thanos. Bck from being aged. Back from seeing Galactus close up. Even as Avengers missions go, this one was exhausting.

He reaches the mansion. He's sore, very sore. But not sleepy. He slept on the trip back. Resting on planes and the like has never been a difficulty, and makes being set for missions that much easier. He's definitely not ready to start combing through the news or mission reports yet though.

Finding one of the computer terminals, he tells it, "James Rogers, authorization 8A-D, Avengers leader. Put me off duty, to be contacted only for emergencies, for the next 24 hours. And call Anya Stark."

Yeah, a bit of downtime and redhead. Just the ticket.

Admittedly, this isn't their usual date night, but the reservations had fallen through. Some sort of block closure due to super hero battle, so Buck arranged to do the cooking while Anya got one of her video game consoles hooked up. He's not the greatest in the kitchen - so he skipped the kitchen, by and large, to barbecue hamburgers.
