Of all the valentine's that arrived this year, one was for me. I wasn't expecting anything and it caught me by surprise.

Miss Black,

Please accept this poem as a gesture of goodwill, I merely wished to share with you another blokes words as he says them better than I ever could.

x

Sweet stream that winds through yonder glade,
Apt emblem of a virtuous maid
Silent and chaste she steals along,
Far from the world's gay busy throng:
With gentle yet prevailing force,
Intent upon her destined course;
Graceful and useful all she does,
Blessing and blest where'er she goes;
Pure-bosom'd as that watery glass,
And Heaven reflected in her face.

To a Young Lady
by William Cowper

I must admit I find myself much confused.
