Party Thread, get those bingo boxes!

By the time the party was in full swing, there may have been a bit more than 'just the important' people milling about Thomas' backyard. Kendall was also just drunk enough to not care about the wrath that he was potentially incurring from his best friend. It had started out small enough, when he was still sober and cooking food. He had been grinning all afternoon and now that the sun was setting, even more people were showing up. There was a quidditch game going on, people swimming, dancing. He couldn't think of a better way to be spending his birthday.

Pulling himself out of the lake, he grabbed his towel to dry of his face as he made his way over to get another drink. He scanned the crowd quite pleased with himself, he couldn't remember ever throwing a party that quite like this. And last minute as well. His had a great team, great friends, a great thing going on with Anya. He couldn't remember the last time he was this happy.

Taking a drag of his drink, Kendall settled himself on the grass laying back to stare at the colors that were starting to paint the sky. He was looking forward to Charlie's fireworks, the phrase 'whatever you want, have fun' probably shouldn't have been used, but it was guaranteed to have spectacular results. It didn't take long before a there was shadow cast over him. "Oh hey, fancy seeing you here," he grinned as he tilted his head back to see who had joined him. Propping himself up on his elbows he nodded to empty stretch of grass next to him. "Enjoying the party?"

(ooc: Open to pretty much everyone? Lol if you can connect your character to Kendall by 3 people then its legit. Kendall's tag is up for grabs. :* Have fun get, dem posts.)

SNITCH! PARTY IN THE PARK! OPEN TO ALL

She wouldn't say she flounced down the steps of the stage, but...well, okay, flouncing was a good word for it. Mattie skipped the last two steps and landed easily on the grass, feeling as if she couldn't stop moving because then the amazing feeling coursing through her would disappear and she'd never feel it again and it was just too exciting and good and awesome and she was here!

Nicola was here! In the crowd that was watching Mattie and her band perform. Her sister had come! Mattie nearly lost her place in the song when she'd spotted Nicola, but thankfully she was able to cover her slight slip up and finished the set. Food was now coming out so they'd taken an intermission and Mattie---Mattie wanted to go find her sister, she did, she wanted to go and hug her and nearly pass out from her exhilaration, but spotting Nicola from afar was a lot different than actually speaking to her and---what if she was only here because of her quidditch playing boyfriend? The one who wasn't playing anymore?

That didn't make much sense. Regardless, her sister was here, she'd seen her perform, and Mattie couldn't be any happier.

"Oomph--MAX!" Mattie let out in one big gulp of air. She had been too busy watching Nicola's head bob in and out of sight on the other side of the gathering (which was so fun and festive and just--springy) that she had not noticed her feet had kept moving and straight into Max Fancourt. Her heels sunk into the ground, still damp from the rain from the night before, and Mattie tugged her foot out. She fanned herself, feeling hot for a million reasons. "Hi, hi!"

Rich!
He clenched his teeth, trying hard not to let out a groan as his shoulder sent bolts of pain throughout his body. His personal trainer's practice had been brutal today because the charmed bludgers and snitches had their velocities accelerated to triple their normal speed. Matt was sure he had never flown that fast or that hard, and after a one-two bludger punch to the cheek and shoulder sent him flying through the air and into the stands (yep, they'd hit him that hard), he'd been ushered into the medical center to recuperate.

At least he'd survived the first half hour of the frantic practice. That had to equal about three hours World Cup time, yeah?

Using his good arm to push himself up onto the examination table and let out a breath, slumping. He was more than excited about going to New York and performing on the world stage, but hell if he wasn't just as nervous. Was he the only experiencing this sort of stage fright? He couldn't be, right? Maybe the rest of the team was just better at hiding their nerves.

Or maybe he was the only one that was acting like a ickle first year.

The door to the room opened and Matt looked up with a genuine smile, "I think it's dis--"

His smile waned at the sight of the healer and he looked around, he was in the right room, right? What was he doing here?

Open to Quidditch Guests!
She was a champion.

Holly wouldn't (and couldn't, since she was sure it was well-documented) deny that she had cried. Quidditch had been her life for so long, and to have this stretch of a career without a league cup to call her own, it was hard to deal with. Seasons were long and ehxausting, they took away all your time and energy, and to not win the cup meant that you'd just wasted the year. Sure, there were the fans, there was making personal records, and even the international circuit was fun, but Holly had needed this win so badly that she still got shivers when she thought about it. She'd done it, and she'd been the best.

She sighed, taking in the surroundings. Appleby Park had been transformed into a wonderful setting for the event, the spells on the stadium keeping the guests warm and the night sky bright above them. The league cup sat on its platform in the middle of the dance floor, looking like a glorious holy grail that she'd finally wrapped her hands around. Her husband was here somewhere, but she was lost in the sea of people. Teammates, competitors, agents, and the media, it was simply a night for the game she loved, and Holly couldn't remember a moment when she'd been happier with everything in her life.

As she made her way to the bar, she spotted one of her aforementioned teammates standing off and away from the rest of the guests. Holly, not one to ignore a teammate as she'd taken on the role this past season as, well, a mother-hen (but don't tell Theo), she couldn't ignore the nagging feeling in the back of her head.

"You're missing all the fun," she said, taking their elbow. When Holly finally got a good look at their face, she frowned, "What's wrong? It looks like you've seen a ghost."
