Guests of the PENNIFOLDS!
She could honestly say that she had not been happier in her life. Today, it marked the official beginning to the rest of her days, and Graciela Pennifold was grateful for all that God had brought her. Edward was a literal dream come true, Zacharias was growing into such a smart, charismatic young man, and her friends and family loved their little family enough to venture out to her homeland of Portugal to celebrate their wedding.

Their wedding! It had been a long time coming, but they were here, she and Edward were now husband and wife. The Pennifolds! She would never get tired of it, never. As she fluttered happily between the tables of guests and managing to not trip on the skirt of her dress, Graciela's smile could not falter. Switching from English, to Portuguese, to even a little Spanish, Graciela's mind was a whirl of joy and excitement. There was dancing, twirling, laughing, and kisses on top of kisses.

Graciela had never been happier.

After a particularly big twirl out of her brother's arms, Graciela's trajectory sent her straight to Edward. Her husband. She laughed in excitement at the sight of him and of course greeted him with a kiss, which was accompanied by hoots and hollers and clinking champagne glasses.

"Casamento fica bem em você," she murmured, having been lost in her native tongue. She hung her arms lazily over his shoulders and Graciela scrunched her nose, "Marriage looks very good on you, meu amor.

Gleny!
Vinny had been a very poor version of himself these past few weeks. He'd made decisions based on his childish emotions, said things that shouldn't have been said, and hadn't built up the nerve to apologize for his shitty behavior. That's what it was, shitty behavior. He wasn't a child anymore, he shouldn't be letting himself get so wrapped up and upset by things that didn't really matter, not at the end of the day.

He examined one of Gleny's bags with a thoughtful expression, wanting to go over their check list one more time. It was a strange feeling, sending her off on this grand trip while he stayed behind. They'd done practically everything together for the past year, so it was more than being jealous of her New York adventures. It was a yearning to be apart of them with her. He'd be all right though, they'd be all right.

Vinny's hand unconsciously ran over the top of Tristan's head, the boy having pushed under his arm. Gleny had made the decision to trust him with taking care of her son during her time in New York, and that faith him him helped push him out of the pity-party he'd been throwing himself.

"You've got your journal, right?" Vinny said softly. The terminal of the portkey port was closed off to the public, allowing the quidditch players and media heading to New York some private last minute moments with their family and friends. With all the people, the noise should have made it hard to hear, but it was more of a soft lull and it kept his voice low. "I haven't sent international owls in ages, I don't remember how long they take..."

Broski
He was a sensible bloke, truly and forever, but damn if each mention of the World Cup didn't remind him how he was the only Falcon not to make their country's squad. Of course he was proud of his teammates, but even the most humble of badgers could feel the sting of jealousy rise up in their chest. Vinny even had Gleny heading off to the event for the WWN, leaving him (and Tristan!) in England to watch from afar.

It was okay. It wasn't the end of the world, it would be good to have an extended holiday. Vinny took it as having more time to rest and have next season remind everyone why he should have been put on the squad instead of Summerby. Summerby! The influence of the Falcons' organization had rubbed off on him slightly, because he had immediately called the other seeker a fluke, but then---no. He'd come off the Cannons too, he knew how they wasted potential.

Vinny was fine, but to be fine meant an extra hour in the gym at the stadium. He shook his head to get the last bits of water out of his hair after his shower and packed up everything to head back home. He was about to leave when he remembered he'd left the latest Falcon newsletter in the players' lounge, and Tristan had been keen on collecting the player cards in each issue. Vinny made his way in and to his locker, and didn't notice his teammate until he'd turned back around.

"Bloody hell, Lynch!" Vinny said, forcing himself not to put a hand to his heart. He shook his head, and then frowned at Michal. He had distinctively stayed late tonight because the stadium should've been empty. "Wait, don't you have rehab tonight?"

New Year's Eve Masquerade! For Tuesday

Octavius believed hiring someone to organise an event for him meant they would actually organise an event for him. Unfortunately, that notion proved to be a false one when the organiser left him high and dry in the middle of the month, but Octavius persevered. With the help of himself, Mira, occasionally Lottie Sweeting, and an army of lackeys, the night of the masquerade had come together as beautifully as possible.

Lottie had, for once, actually done her job, and at either entrance of the grand foyer were attendants handing out beautifully crafted half-masks to party-goers, and collecting them as people left. The ballroom was majestic and shimmering, the music was softly thrumming, the drinks were pouring, and the mood was infectious. All in all, Octavius thought, it was a satisfactory night to end a rather satisfactory year. After the chaos and excitement that had chased him all throughout 1983, he was rather happy to have had a (comparably) quiet year.

"Can you make sure Miss Warbeck is ready to begin?" he murmured to an attendant nearby who then scurried off. The Wizarding Wireless Network had, after all, promised a wonderful surprise at midnight! Octavius needed to ensure everything went perfectly.

The flash of a nearby photographer made Octavius scowl, annoyed was he at even the few press witches and wizards who had paid handsomely to be at the charity event tonight. The publicity was good, no one could deny that, and the masks concealed everyone's identity at least marginally so there was no grievous intrusion on privacy, but that didn't mean Octavius enjoyed their presence.

He rolled up the sleeve of his dress robe to check his watch, then his eyes darted back to the stage. It was five minutes to midnight! What, for heaven's sake, was Celestina Warbeck taking so long to appear onto an already dressed stage? Shaking his head agitatedly, Octavius cut through a path through the brightly coloured bodies in the mingling crowd to check on his star performer.

OOC Read this for questions, or ask me! Fluid time, so feel free to thread before/after kisses. Again, the "compulsion" to find your kissing partner kicks in 5-10 minutes before midnight and could be anything from thinking you should walk and get some punch to being mystifyingly sexually attracted to the masked stranger at your side. HAVE FUN! GO WILD ♥ AND HAPPY NEW YEAR'S MY GORGEOUS GALS.

Halloween Haunted Castle Event! Open to Everyone!
While she wasn't particularly keen on parties, she was set on saving wildlife. Everyone else seemed to rake in the galleons by throwing large events, no matter the scandals that erupted from them, so why couldn't they? Nora had conservatory's committee for quite some time now, and being the youngest by a good forty years, had devised this plan as a new and fresh way of funding. It helped greatly that she had friends that had access to some of the best party planners (or that she could twist Charlie Spinnet's ear until he helped her out), and things seemed to have turned out well. So far.

For the brave at heart, there was a grand maze that made its way throughout the haunted castle. Guests would be offered clues to get themselves to the ballroom, and if they were truly lost (as Nora was sure was to occur), for just a small donation (it's for charity), any money dropped into a clue box would light up a blue path down the correct route to lead the way out. With all the Gryffindors that Nora had put on the guest list, she was sure they were going to triple their goal.

There was a simpler route than the maze, which was simply to walk through the double doors to the dance floor. Nora was currently wavering between the two, having run out of pamphlets to give out at the front entrance therefore giving her no excuse to join the festivities. She felt rather exposed, as Delilah had stolen her cloak, and when someone tapped her shoulder she jumped nearly a foot in the air.

"Bloody hell!" she let out, spinning around. "You scared the life out of me!"

Posted for this Friday!

It had been a long, long year for St. Mungo's.

Mark stood with a long flute of champagne in one hand, taking slow, deep breaths. The rearing of the ugly virus' head had given the year a bad, bad start, but here they were. Lives had been lost, but so many had been saved. Mark felt bittersweet about celebrating the year, but he knew events like this needed to be held to keep the hospital running. The donations were used to buy new supplies, potion remedies, and to provide for better training for their healers. Everything was being spun into a positive manner, Mark just wished that it didn't have to be such a lavish event to do so.

"Do you think it's too much?" he said to his wife, looking down at Hannah with a worried smirk. If anything, the night provided a reason for his wife to doll herself and look even more fantastic than she normally did. They deserved a night out, especially now that their trio of children was complete.

All Star Fan-Fest Weekend! Open to ALL!
His grin couldn't be any wider.

"I'm pretty sure she's going to beat my score," Vinny said with an extreme nod to the group of onlookers that were watching his lovely and adorable girlfriend Gleny score as many goals in the miniature hoops that were set up. Vinny had quite purposely aimed a bit far to the right as to not completely run away with the game, but Gleny was putting up a rather good fight regardless.

It was a fun day, weekend, really, of games and events that he thought were going to be a bit of a chore but had ended up being remarkably entertaining. The fans that were participating were the ones who truly loved the game and were great to have conversations with. It was a very unique way to interact with them in a way Vinny had never really gotten a chance to, and he did not feel overwhelmed in the slightest. Hosting the weekend's bigger attractions had seemed daunting, but it was going swimmingly.

Mostly in part to his, once again, lovely and adorable girlfriend who had just ended the round of Quick Quaffle with a tie score!

"Great job!" Vinny said with honest excitement as he happily hugged Gleny in celebration. Merlin, quidditch and his girl, what more could a bloke ask for?

Open to....EVERYONE LMAO

This party had most certainly gotten out of hand.

Louis was not sure what had happened, or how, but he and Adian were quite suddenly overwhelmed by a sea of people they did not know save for the magazines and tabloids. Quidditch stars, besides Saoirse and her boyfriend (and teammates!) were sauntering through their flat! Wireless celebrities, friends from Hogwarts, people they did not recognize at all! Louis was at first startled, owling his sister for help (and to bring more dip!), but soon he was being patted on the back for throwing quite the bash and handed drink after drink in congratulations.

It may be the reason why he was seeing double, but Louis Bonaccord had traversed this crazy world! He could hold his liquor. Somewhat.

"You are Saoirse's friend!" he said, not the slightest hint of a slur as he spotted one of the few familiar people in the crowd. His wavering form gave up his intoxication, but at least he could speak clearly, "Mademoiselle Pepper!"

ooc: basically, Louis and Adian wanted a small get together on their roof, and the word spread that some quidditch players will be there and now they are basically throwing a rager lmao. If you can connect to Louis or Adian in some manner (six, seven, eight degrees, WHATEVER), then your character can be here LOL

PARTAYY ~ OPEN TO ALL
Glenda pressed her lips together to produce a small laugh, brushing the old wizard's shoulder in front of her in a warm manner as he laughed at his joke. It was a rather amusing story about a niffler and a mackled malaclaw, but the night was starting to wear her down. Any WWN party, whether it be under the façade of a birthday bash or not, was always apart of the public relations machine. Tonight was certainly no exception, though it did give her an excuse to wander (and drink) as much as she pleased. Under that pretense, she gave a quick pat to her new acquaintance and walked off before he had a chance to contest.

There was also this aging business that she couldn't help avoid either. Turning older when she already felt ancient was a strange feeling; it felt doubly so every time another announced her general youth. Twenty-three and already so popular! Twenty-three with such a name! Twenty-three, what a bright future laid ahead! They all conveniently forgot to realize that she was still twenty-two, and really nothing of their kind words made any sense to her, but what could she do if they wanted to tell her these things? It was good that she had perfect her smiling and nodding years ago.

This party wasn't all that bad, honestly. The WWN had actually invited some of her old friends, in addition to people she was sure she had never met in her life, but that didn't bother her. It was.... nice. And a bit frightening. Well, frightening for the prospect of one person, which Glenda still wasn't sure if she was actively or passively avoiding after all these months without knowledge of whether or not he was even here... it did not matter! She was an adult. They were adults, there was no reason why---

Merlin he was here. There he was! Was she losing feeling in her legs? Feeling very much caught, Glenda stood frozen, even unable to think of going about executing a quick get away. Maybe he wouldn't see her, or felt just as awful as she had been feeling and would continue to prolong their eventual remeeting! That was a pretty awful thing to say about your best friend, wasn't it?

End of Season party! For the 3rd
Drystan did not usually consider himself a sore loser. He had experienced enough defeats in his career to understand that winning was sometimes as much luck as it was skill—the latter of which he had plenty, the former he was starting to doubt he had any. He would even go so far as to say this was one of the top seasons he'd ever played. Losing the Cup might not be such a hardship, in that light. But to lose to the team he considered the most unsportsmanlike in the League was just an insult to injury. To have lost to them for the third time in the season was, in his perfectly reasonable and justified opinion, grounds for murder.

But a lifetime sentence in Azkaban would leave behind a wife and three children who would likely be just fine without him, but he'd miss them. So mass murder was off the table for tonight, at the very least.

Press snapped pictures outside the admittedly-abandoned looking building of 23 High Street, and Drystan knew there were more inside. Entering the rundown lobby, by-passing the elevator with the out-of-order sign, they made their way up the long flight of stairs to the grand doors of the first floor landing and into the—holy Mer—

Of course, the invitation specified formal wear, but Drystan hadn't honestly been expecting a high-brow formal occasion from the Kestrels. It was a ballroom. There was emerald green positively everywhere. There was something that looked suspiciously like a string ensemble. A bar, where he fancied he would spend as much time as possible, was in the corner. Platters with hors d'oeuvres and glass flutes zoomed by. Having stopped moving, wearing a stupefied expression, Bess had to tug his arm to get him to continue his stride.

"Hell," he muttered, pulling a grim face at the ostentatious yet somehow tasteful décor. Lifting their linked hands, he kissed the back of hers while surveying the spectacle before him.

"Five minutes? Five minutes isn't too soon."

ooc: Quidditch players/personnel + their guests! BLACK TIE! Party is on the first floor in this cool but creepy rundown building. Have fun! :D

WIZROQ Meet Ball [OPEN TO ALL]

Pink, red, and more pink with a touch of barking mad. Jonas had no other way to describe the colors that had been chosen for the WIZROQ Meet Ball to go along with the "Accio! (Summon Your Love)" theme. The club dance floor was modestly crowded with mingling wizards and witches, all of whom were wearing glittery name badges and most of whom were toting around some of the sparkling pink punch and one (or three) of the various treats that Honeydukes had delivered.

The mixer had started with the attendees being split into groups to introduce each other and rotating every six minutes depending on the color their name badge turned when the emcee cast a randomizing spell. Now, though, Toots was getting ready to introduce the first musical act of the evening and Jonas was waiting in the wing as the backing band took the stage.

As per usual, Jonas had the jitters. He was already stressing over performing at the ball instead of being at Gabriel's side at St. Mungo's and this coupled with the fact that he had to open for Celestina made him a bit of a mess. Thankfully, Kobe was with him and just the sight of her glowing face was doing wonders for his mood, let alone her bubbly voice and reassuring words. He loved his wife for many reasons, but her calming nature was a Godsend.

Jonas gave a sheepish grin when Kobe gently nudged him as Toots began to introduce him.

"Is my tie all right?" he asked quietly as he turned to her.

The smile broadened on his lips as her expression knitted with concentration while she fixed his suit collar and tie. Though keeping things from Kobe was next to impossible, Jonas had managed to not divulge that his plans for the evening included pulling her onto the dance floor when Celestina sang the first dance from their wedding. Today also happened to be their second anniversary and it had started out with French toast, strawberries, and a bedside serenade. Regardless of the turmoil happening in their friends' lives, Jonas was determined to make the day special for her.

A smattering of cheers accompanied Jonas onto the stage as he took the microphone.

Big D!
He'd decided, while he pretended to look for the snitch today during practice, that he could not wait for the off season. While this year had started off looking like it was going to be a good one, especially now that he was on a team that looked as if they could go all the way, Vinny knew that the holidays were just going to bring him down and remind him of how not so far he'd actually come.

He did miss Victoria. He missed being loved, and that thought alone told him that it was more than just missing the woman that was the matter with him. He'd even managed to go on a few dates since their breakup, which helped the physical loneliness, but he was far from mentally fixing that aspect of his life. But, really. Women just seemed to bring him heartache and problems, so he decided, as Griff yelled at him to find the bloody snitch, that he was not going to worry about women in this next coming year.

Vinny decided he was going to think about himself, and do what he's always wanted to do.

That was why, the second he'd got home he dug through his closet and unfurled the large map of the world his father had given him when he'd graduated from Hogwarts. His father had always wanted him to travel instead of jumping head first into the world of quidditch, that Vinny was too smart to play a game for the rest of his life. Well, dad, maybe he was right.

The door opening and shutting did not make Vinny's marker miss a swish. "Derek! What sounds better, Paris then Brussels, or Brussels then Paris?"
