Test Scene: Bob Grayson
The saucer hummed as it normally did, the information from its computers directed straight into his mind. Its a comforting feeling, the touch of something against his mind. It reminded him of his home, the one he left in order to join M-11 and his quest to find and resuscitate Jimmy Woo. True, it did not go as he had expected, but it still brought them closer as a team.

So he sat in the cockpit of the saucer, looking up through the translucent ceiling and keeping his eyes on a point. There is nothing visible there, but the sensors show him: His old world, the large blue planet spun onto its side.

Namora approaches. "Nickel for your thoughts?"

"You should know better than to ask that, Princess. I can share," Bob replied, turning his head slightly to acknowledge Namora.

"I am feeling nostalgic, as I do from time to time."

"I know you can, Bob. Just a muddled figure of speech."

"I understand." Bob's case of 'you can't go home again' was far more literal, but Namora had learned the figurative version the hard way. Sometimes, bridges burn.

She clears her throat. "The Latverian princeling is already at work channeling Ken's funds," she comments.

"Yes. It's odd to think that we would be working with Latveria so blatantly, but this new regent is far more accommodating than the last one," Bob said as he focused on his console. A small smile tugged at his face.

"I'm glad that Ken did not ruin it before starting."

Namora smiles. "Yes, that was a concern. Hedging our bets with the M-21 seems to have been a fine idea." She looks around at the ship. "Boys and their toys, as Venus says."

"M-21 is a very nice piece of machinery for human make," Bob said, his voice teasing at the jab before continuing. "It's sad to see him go. I'm sure M-11 would have liked a sibling for him to boss around, but he worked better as a gift to a benefactor."

The mention of Venus brought another smile to his face.

Ken grumbles in response. "Don't see why you had to give the kid a toy robot just because I went and talked to him. I'm fascinatin', y'know."

Namora smiles. "It seemed reasonable to distract his Von Doom pride a little after so much old-soldier familiarity."

The adventure-seeker grunts and takes a seat, glancing to Bob. "You okay there, blondie?"

"Just having some time thinking of home. After all, with your little stunt, I won't be surprised if Jimmy has us hide there to avoid a mad Latverian regent."

The delivery? Deadpan.

Namora's not the giggly type, but she smiles wryly.

"So the volume of my old costume dilates time, does it?"

Bobs smile is now full. It was always fun to rile Ken up at times.

"Do you think Jimmy had a good idea in trusting that boy? I did not get close enough to get a reading."

Namora shrugged. "Namor said he was an insolent child, but competent."

"And we all know his highness is so picky about who he deems 'insolent'." Ken smirks.

"He's a good kid. Just got a lot on his shoulders."

Bob sighs at the idea. He knew the kid was young, like he was all those years ago, but it shouldn't have been this way. The child should not have to worry about affairs of state.

The saucer glides towards the San Fransisco hideout, Bob can only trust in Jimmys judgement. he's been a great leader and has made good decisions.

Bob hopes this is one of them.
