Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry

I pledge allegiance to the underworld
One nation under dark
There of which I stand alone
A face in the crowd
Unsung, against the mold
Without a doubt
Singled out
The only way I know

in character.

FULL NAME: George Fabian Weasley
NICKNAMES: Gred (to Fred only), Georgie, Mutt
CHARACTER JOURNAL: [info]gredilicious

DATE OF BIRTH: 1st April, 1978
CURRENT AGE: 20
BLOODLINE: Pureblood
SEXUALITY: Bisexual - around 50/50, depending on his mood. (Current Mood: Flintsexual)
FORMER HOUSE & YEAR: Gryffindor 1996 (did not graduate)
OCCUPATION: Co-Owner of Weasley's Wizard Wheezes (a joke shop) and Never Never Land (an 'underground' night club).
CURRENT RESIDENCE: A house with a lake and a tree fort, which he shares with his Twin. The place is unplottable except to those who have been given directions there by the Twins.
POLITICAL VIEWS: Anti-Ministry, Order of Phoenix

PARENTS: Arthur and Molly Weasley (nee Prewett)
SIBLINGS: Bill, Charlie, Percy, Fred, Ron and Ginny.
FAMILY RELATIONSHIPS:
Arthur - Father. Arthur tended to be a bit more lenient with the rules than Molly, letting the twins get away with things when they shouldn't have - example, the car they "borrowed" in 1992.
Molly - Mother. George loves his mother and even though she tended to take the fun out of a situation with her hands on her hips and stern words, George wouldn't want her to be anything else. (Also, Molly is the world's best cook).
Bill - Oldest Brother. Billiam. Has a girly earring. Being the oldest, Bill earnt a certain amount of respect. A little amount. Tiny even. Because he too, fell prey to Fred and George's pranks.
Charlie - Older Brother. Dragon-sexual. Lives in Romania with his Dragons. George doesn't see Charlie often, but when he does, Charlie is treated a lot like Bill.
Percy - Older Brother. Goody-two-shoes and prat. Needless to say, George does not get along with Percy.
Fred - TWIN Brother. Best Friend. And All-Round Awesome Face. George would be lost without Fred and they share EVERYTHING! (Well, maybe not everything... but 90% of things). George could go on and on about his twin, but there isn't enough room on the app to discuss how brilliant Fred is.
Ron - Younger Brother. Another person George loved to annoy. Although, Ron's not a prat like Percy, he just gives good reactions when being picked on.
Ginny - Baby Sister. And yes, George realises Ginny is no longer a baby, but he still calls her his baby sister just to see her wrinkle her nose and demand she's not.
Harry - Adopted Brother. George doesn't care that Harry has his own parents. Harry has been adopted into the Weasley tribe and there is no escape for him.
Lee - Sex Slave. Okay, not really. Lee wishes.

MARITAL STATUS: Attached.

MAGICAL STRENGTHS: Transfiguration, Charms and DADA
MAGICAL WEAKNESSES: Potions.
SPECIAL MAGIC ABILITIES: Twin Sense.
WAND: 15 inches, purpleheart, phoenix feather - flexible, good for transfiguration and charms.
PATRONUS: Lion.
BOGGART: Fred dead.

Appearance.

PB: Jamie Bell.
Flaming-red hair, freckles; it's not hard to tell which family George comes from. George is shorter than his brothers Ron, Bill and Percy and has a similar stocky build like Charlie and, of course, his identical twin brother Fred. He stands at roughly 5'9" and a twelfth (ever so slightly taller than Fred - but not enough anyone notices the difference).

His style of dress is very casual: t-shirts, jeans, his robes he wears to work (if he can be bothered wearing them). In fact, George would run about naked if he could get away with it (after all, everyone wants to see Weasley booty). Just about everything in his wardrobe looks lived in and comfy, George hates clothes shopping so he hardly has anything new. George also has his tongue pierced and is not afraid to show it to you whether you ask or not and a tattoo on the inside of his right wrist of a cursive letter 'F'.

George is the more smiley of the twins, although his smiles are usually filled with cheeky mirth that you just know he has been up to something you just can't prove what. There is only one person who has ever seen George cry and that's Fred. Not even their own mother sees George when he is upset. Although, those occasions are few and far between.

Personality.

George is cocky, bold and out-spoken but despite these traits it's hard not to fall in love with him because of his reckless attitude and ability to laugh at himself. He was the gentler, quieter of the twins - although, growing up it was hard to tell because neither seemed to have an off switch. He tended to let Fred take the role of ringleader and his jokes were not as harsh as his twin's. He was slightly more moral as was seen when he was against the idea of blackmailing Ludo Bagman after the Quidditch World Cup.

Out of the twins, George is better at numbers and can remember random dates and could probably do the bookwork for the shop standing on his head (if fact, he has tried - made him dizzy for a whole afternoon, apparently). However, George is not great at remembering people's names or names of places - but that's where Fred comes in and balances him out. George is also rarely seen on his own, but he also understands that Fred needs 'Fred-time'. So during those times, George is usually hanging around Lee or one of their other friends, leaving Fred to do whatever it is he does on his own.

He is a fairly tactile person and sees no problem with invading someone's personal space for a hug or a nudge or even sitting on them when they look comfy on a lounge or something. He also uses touch as a way of showing his true emotions beyond the joking exterior. If he's scared, he'll grab someone's hand; if he wants to comfort someone or feeling protective, he'll pull them into a hug; if he's angry, he'll generally use fists. Although, George isn't as quick to anger as Fred, he still has quite the temper on him. If he is pissed off with someone, he is not above using violence to let them know it.

Although he hates to admit it, George is the more sensitive of the twins. Because of his analytical brain, George has a tendency to over think things and sometimes in a very negative way. Fred is the only one he'd ever completely show this weaker side of himself to. Other close friends may catch glimpses of it, but George will bottle it up quickly and pretend nothing is wrong.

LIKES: Fred, cocktails with funny names, pranks, sex, booze in general, pressing peoples' buttons, Quidditch, photos, the colours red and gold.
DISLIKES: Rules and order, bigots, sex bans, tidy things, the colour white (reminds him of sterile hospitals), VEGETABLES.
HABITS: Fidgets, bites his lip, playing with his tongue bar.
VICES: Drinks, swears, sexual deviant.

History.

George is the younger of the infamous Weasley twins born on April the first appropriately enough. From the word go, he and Fred were natural born pranksters and Molly Weasley will assure you that even when they weren't talking yet, they'd babble to each other in their own baby-like language and just start laughing as if they were telling jokes to one another.

They grew up at The Burrow in Ottery St. Catchpole; idyllic settings as there were meadows to explore and plenty of siblings to prank. The Burrow was crowded, it was loud and best of all it was home. Fred and George shared a room and often explosions could be heard coming from it. Many assumed it was because the twins just liked the noise, which was half true, their room was their very first experiment lab for their future inventions and jokes. All of their siblings fell victim to Fred and George's pranks at some stage but none more so than Percy. In George's opinion it was because Percy always gave the best reactions.

At Hogwarts, the 'dynamic duo' branched out and became fast friends with a number of the other Gryffindors; in particular, Lee, Angelina, Alicia and Katie. It was no longer a case of where ever one twin was the other wasn't far behind (although, usually that meant the twin that was missing was setting up a spectacular prank while the other was playing decoy). In their first year, the twins stole into Filch's office and retrieved the Maruaders map, which they later gave to Harry after it had served them well for many years. In second year George and Fred earned spots on the Quidditch team as Beaters and were rather brilliant at it. They were once described as 'Human Bludgers' as neither of them showed any fear on a broom and would zoom around the pitch at breakneck speeds. In third year, they met Harry Potter and George promised to send Ginny (who couldn't attend Hogwarts yet) a Hogwarts toilet seat. Whether she got that toilet seat or not is a mystery, one that Molly would not be impressed with when she found out the truth.

Fourth, fifth and sixth years were filled with more prank pulling. Finally in seventh year, deciding the education system could no longer teach them anything, George and Fred left school early in true Weasley twin fashion - zooming around inside the school on brooms, setting off fireworks, throwing out flyers to their new shop and leaving a rather large swamp in one of the corridors. It was an event that many would talk about for an age.

Relationship wise, George never really dated anyone... if at all. That is not to say he is a blushing virgin, George just was never able to settle for just one person. There was a brief thing he had going with Katie Bell for a while but they weren't dating, just friends.

In classes, George was above average but both he and Fred didn't seem to apply themselves and their grades weren't the best. In fact they had only received 3 OWLs each and had left without taking their NEWTs (in bloody brilliant fashion too, George would say). Although, when it came to things they were interested in, George and Fred were geniuses and their goals were achieved quickly.

After they left school, George and Fred opened up shop in Diagon Alley, selling jokes and tricks. They originally started the business at school, but with funding from their silent partner the twins were able to expand their business and broaden their range of joke merchandise.

Toward the end of 1997, the Twins decided to expand their empire into the realm of night clubs. Neither could remember who came up with the idea, but the club was an instant success. Named 'Never Never Land' - yes, after the Peter Pan books - the club is located in a warehouse and has the appearance of a plain factory for their joke shop during the day. The Ministry do not know of the club's existence as it is open to Muggles, Muggleborns and pretty much anyone, no matter their status - which is less than legal considering the Statute of Secrecy. However, Muggles who enter the club have a brief bewilderment spell cast on them so they think the magic about the club is really clever special effects.

The club is also where he met up with the current person he is seeing, Marcus Flint, who was there celebrating a victory with his Falmouth Falcon teammates. The relationship was highly secret with only Fred, Oliver Wood and a few close friends knowing about it until recently - with George finally coming out to his family who had mixed reactions about it. It's still kind of a completely different thing for George but now they are around the six-month mark, George is coming round to the idea that things between them are more serious than he first thought.

The Twins knew about the Order of the Phoenix through their parents. Growing up believing in equal rights for all, it was a bit of a no brainer for George and Fred to join. They do what they can to support the Order in its projects, even coming close to getting arrested a few times. Luckily, neither Twin has ended up in Azkaban yet.

SECRETS
Three months ago, George took some money out of the Twins account and bought a house on his own under an alias. At the time Oliver had semi-moved in with them and George, with his over analytical brain, thought his Twin might eventually want some space. Of course, George hasn't been kicked out and he now uses the place as an investment property, renting it out to someone. He still hasn't told Fred about it and knows that as long as Fred leaves the books for him to handle, Fred will hopefully never have to find out about it.
