"Well, sensible shoes makes sense!" Tatum joked, giggled. "Seriously though, I definitely judge people based on their footwear choices, so it's kind of a big deal. We're gonna have a walk-in shoe closet." They had already put away a few pairs of baby Converse that she hadn't been able to resist a few months earlier.
"It's a little too little, too late," the redhead added, exhaling heavily and rolling her shoulders again. She snorted at the thought of her brother coming out. "They say the meanest ones are the deepest in the closet," she joked. She considered just ditching out and leaving the whole party as it was, leaving her brother and sister to their own devices. So many times, her family had basically said 'fuck it' to her and let her deal with her own shit, but she couldn't fight that little bit of responsibility she felt toward them. "I should go take a quick peek."
