When Sera saw Alex handing towards her she turned away quickly leaning her head in against Max's shoulder. She'd been hanging out, or more all over him practically the entire night. Other then getting up to get herself another drink or cigarette. He was nice enough, but she was almost too drunk to care at this point. Kind of full of himself though, but most quodpot players usually were, in Sera's opinion. It practically came with the territory. Mostly he'd be perfect to take home and introduce to her dad. He was polite, well-spoken, a good student, on student council, which was how she knew him and quite the athlete. The fact that he looked almost completely like a taller male version on Jenny, was nothing but a mere coincidence. Still he was cute enough to serve his purpose. It wasn't like she was exactly trying to fall in love.
Not now She thought, keeping her head turned away. Maybe Alex wouldn`t see her and just keep walking. She really just didn`t feel like getting into an argument, which she knew would happen. It was what always happened with Alex. The brunette had taken enough classes and been in debate club with her long enough to know there were no civil conversations when it came to Alexandria Quentin.
At this point Sera normally wasn't even surprised at what came out of the Shenandoah girl mouth. But this was different. Jenny wasn't actually behaving like that, was she? She pushed off of Max's lap, pushing to her feet she almost stumbled forward and had to steady herself. The last few drinks seemed to rush all to her head at once.
What the fuck was Alex talking about? She'd seen Jenny around with Charlie, but they were just friend, right?
Getting her balance she stepped back a ways from the couch just a bit. She wanted to get out of earshot of Max if she could, but even with the noise of the party she figured it wasn't likely. Facing Alex face on she finally spat back. "What are you talking about? There's no way. Jenny wouldn't do that."
She tried to keep her voice as steady as she could. She couldn't let any doubt she was having show in her voice, she refused to give Alex the satisfaction.
