Ella definitely recognised Alex as that chick who didn't try very hard in quodpot. She'd seen her on the field when she'd been cheering but that was about as far as her knowledge went.

It wasn't the digs about where they were from or Jenny's 'sale rack' dress that annoyed Ella rather than the fact that Alex was insulting her sister at all, but she could spot a cry for attention or a girl just spoiling from a fight a mile off. She'd been to enough parties to see through that.

"Well they're not even here, so why don't you just go home?" she suggested, frowning slightly.

Alex had been about to open her mouth with another sarcastic dig, but she shut her mouth with a nearly audible clack as Ella's words set in. "Not here? If they're not here, where have they gone?!" Alex demanded, already fuming even worse.

"Did you leave together?"
