It's just the girls. All is quiet on the home front.

Tatum/Michi

She knew that she was just supposed to be relaxing, enjoying their second real night in their own real apartment, but Tatum couldn't forget for a moment what a big day tomorrow would be. Unfortunately, not even in a good way. When Hunter and Mack said they were going out, she hadn't really been surprised, nor was she when Hunter corralled Kia and Sera into joining them. It wasn't until Hunter took her aside for a moment that she realized the true nature of the older girl's plan.

To celebrate Mack's birthday, of course, but to also distract her. Tomorrow she would leave with Sam, and with Hunter's suggestion, she planned to leave early. She hated to admit it, but the other girl was right. If Hunter kept Mack and Sera busy all night, it avoid all of the goodbyes and good lucks in the morning. Like Hunter, she didn't doubt that Mack would want to come along, beg to come along. She was so supportive, perhaps too much. Tatum was still living in constant fear of hurting her, of biting or scratching her accidentally even in human form, and she couldn't let the blonde come with her, as much as she wanted her comfort.

It was safer if Hunter occupied her girlfriend and her sister both, while Tatum snuck out in the morning. She'd see Mack and Sera both on Saturday before the dance, if she even felt like going. She sort of hoped she did.

This was her burden to bear now, and she planned to handle it like an adult. They were supposed to be those now, adults. Living on their own and raising a baby. It was going to be a wild ride. She was lucky that the other girls even still wanted her along for it. Keeping her mind off of Mack, off of how bad tomorrow night would be, Tatum busied herself with unpacking and organizing things. The apartment looked great, it was obvious how much work the two blondes had put into it, and she loved the color of their bedroom, even if she knew Mack probably didn't care for the pink as much as she did. She had done it for her.

She was taking a quick break from unpacking in the living room, slipping out onto their little balcony and wrapping herself in a blanket as she sat down. She pulled her knees to her chest, already lighting up a joint once she was sure the patio door was shut. Hunter's barbeque was still outside, and she was suddenly craving a steak. She had been for most of the week. Juicy and rare, which she never ate before. Well-done was her usual fare, but lately, bloodier meat had become the best sort. She used to be a borderline vegetarian, if not for her love of chicken and McDonalds burgers. It disgusted her, the new taste for blood, and she found herself turning away, just as the patio door slid open behind her.

"Oh s-sorry!" she murmured quickly, already stubbing the joint out on the bottom of her sneaker before any smoke got in Michi's face.

Michi had caught sight of Tatum on the balcony and it was a nice enough night that she figured she could brave the weather. Pulling one of Hunter's hoodies around her shoulders she stepped onto the balcony to join Tatum. "No worries," she said skipping out and leaning against the railing. "It's kinda cute right?" she asked, smiling brightly. "Hunter said the balcony was shitty but I like it."
