Apple had been completely oblivious to anyone or anything going on around them. He was totally indulging in their own little world. "Tell ya what, if you let me cook you dinner after that coffee, you can talk my ear off all night and I won't even mind," he said easily. Tonight was going way better than he would have predicted. He leaned in a whispered, smirking. "I can't imagine the horror of having a heart to heart with your brother," he teased.
"Hey none taken!" he couldn't deny the butterflies in his stomach when she kissed his nose all sweet like. "I wouldn't dream of makin' you share nothin'," he spun her out, then spun her back in, laughing brightly.
"Y-you're gonna cook me dinner?" Marney asked dumbfounded. She was a bit taken aback to be honest, a few guys had cooked her dinner before, but this was somehow different. She immediately gave Apple a shy smile. "I'd...I'd really like that." She couldn't help but let out a giggle at the thought of Le having a heart to heart with Apple. "I think his brain is made of just as much useless muscle as his arms." she informed him in a whisper.
She spun back into Apple's arm and couldn't help but grin at his laughter. "Good," she told him. "I hate sharing my things."
"Hell yeah," he said brightly. "My ma taught me how to cook mean Korean food and my dad taught me how to cook anything on a camp fire. So if you ever wanna go campin, I got ya covered," he grinned.
He snorted at her comment about Leland. Le might have been shorter but Apple would never knowingly fuck with the kid. Le was bigger and looked like he had some anger issues with that scowl of his. Apple just smirked and nodded. "I'm sure it is. A heart to heart would probably look something like getting the shit kicked out of me." Apple only felt himself growing red at her comment. For once in his life, he couldn't think of what to say. "Well I'm yours to do what you will with," he finally said. |
