"I don't really like apples so much as like.. caramel apples. You need to like, put candy and sugar and shit in there or it's just fruit," Tatum lamented, sighing a bit herself and taking some more of the chips as she listened to Ella speak.
"Girls are.. whatever, I guess. I mean, t-they're like soft and stuff, and sometimes they have really nice hair.. and stuff.. but yeah, boys are like way too cute," the redhead replied, putting on her best smile, so much as she just wanted to frown. When Ella said she liked their chests, however, that gave her a distraction from her own inner turmoil on the subject. "Oh yeah? Their chests? I bet you like them like, super hairy, right?" she joked, laughing a bit and making a face right after. "Gross." She gave a noncommittal shrug at Sera trying to include her. "Maybe," she replied, but she had her doubts. There was definitely an ulterior motive, and the fact that Mack had shown up with flowers proved that.
"I guess I can eat apples once a year. On Halloween! That's the only exception." Tatum had a point, girls did have nice hair. She nodded. "Girls hair is really cute. Especially yours! I'd kill to have red hair, totally."
Ella buried her head in her arms and groaned as Tatum talked about hairy chests. "Barf! I guess that's a good thing about girls too. No hairy chests. Or 'pits!" Hendrix didn't have a hairy chest. The thought flashed into her head but she buried it.
"I hate fake apple flavor. That shit is the worst, like apple candy? It never fucking tastes like apples," Tatum murmured, scrunching her face up at the thought. "They're the worst Jolly Ranchers, fuck the green ones."
When Ella complimented her hair, Tatum laughed a little, tipping her head a bit to look at the younger girl. "No way, it's t-totally stupid.. red hair m-makes you stand out. I'd trade," she admitted. She did love it mostly, it was a little bit unique, but it was also a curse for that same reason. Everyone remembered that skittish little ginger. "Your hair is super cute, and you have really pretty eyes," she added. That was coming dangerously close to flirting or something though, and that was so wrong, and the redhead was glad to have the distraction of the hairy chests. "Right? I mean, from like a.. grooming and hygiene perspective, I have to g-give it to the girls. But there's, y'know.. something about boys. They're something," she murmured, trailing off a bit and just looking up again. She sighed. "Hairy pits are the worst, worse than chests."
When Tatum complimented her on her eyes she beamed at the older girl. "You really think so? I think Jenny's are a little more blue and she has super long eyelashes! Probably 'cause she's the oldest" Ella joked.
"How can hairy pits not be totally stinky?" Leaning closer to Tatum more, eyes wide and slightly alarmed she whispered. "You know what though? What if like, you were doing stuff with a boy and then they have a hairy butt." She paled slightly and swallowed. "Wouldn't you just freak out?"
Despite being a twin herself, Tatum had only really begun to be able to tell Jenny and Ella apart since Sera had started dating Jenny. It was kind of easy to tell them apart once you actually got to know them. It was more mannerisms than appearances though. She had never really noticed a difference, but then again, she usually refrained from checking the twins out for her own sanity and Sera's wrath. She smiled sheepishly, shrugging. "I do," she agreed. "I mean, not that I've like.. stared into your eyes all the time or anything. Or y-your sister's. But they're definitely super cute!"
When Ella leaned in closer, Tatum did the same, waiting to hear what she was going to say. Upon hearing it though, the redhead snorted in laughter. "Oh my god, I'd bail!" she laughed, clapping a hand over her mouth. "Fuck that, I'm not down for that, I'm-- no, I'm like.. totally not doing stuff with a boy until I'm, uh, married. And I'm not m-marrying anybody with a hairy ass."
Ella looked a little alarmed, as if Tatum had just unrooted a genuine concern in her. "But how would you know until you married him! Then you'd have to live with his hairy butt forever!"
"N-No way," Tatum replied, looking a little alarmed herself. She always worried about the sort of thing, sometimes she wondered if her father expected her to be married by the time she graduated university, with the way he talked. She had nightmares about being stuck with the worst kind of guys.
"Now I'll have to check, that's-- no way. I want a cute boy, no hair!" | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
