Jenny had been sitting at her desk, legs out in front of her as she hunched over to do up her shoes. She looked up as she heard her sister flopping down, and she scrunched her face immediately at the other girl's words. "No! You're going!" she protested quickly, finishing with her shoes and standing up from her chair, wobbling for just a second in her heels.

"You told Hen you'd go and you can't just stand him up," she added, moving over to Ella's bed and carefully climbing in beside her, careful of her own dress. "You look beautiful, you're just being contrary!"

"You're being contrary" Ella huffed. "This is all your fault. You've been meddling, haven't you? And now I have to go with a date to a dance" she panicked, pulling at her hair.

"I haven't-- it wasn't meddling," Jenny huffed right back. Reaching out, she pulled her sister's hands away from her hair, pouting at her. "You need to calm down! Hen thinks you're so pretty, and you could like.. walk in there in a garbage bag and he would like, think you were the most gorgeous girl there. It's all in the way he looks at you, boys are easy."
