"Yeah? Well, that doesn't surprise me, you know," Emmerson told Basil with a smile as he led the way up the porch steps to their house. The smell of steak, potatos, corn on the cob, and freshly cooked rolls could be smelled. "You're smart and attractive," he added as he held the door open for Basil to slip inside first before he followed. "And you have a cute butt," he added with a swat as the boy passed him by.
