It was heart achingly adorable, but Wendell was too concerned to really enjoy it. This was unprecedented, and he didn't know what to make of it. He stared down at the puppy at his feet and then stooped down to pick him up so he could examine the creature more closely. He held Miah up to his face with a frown. "Did Joshua ever mention that their mother was a wolf? Surely she couldn't have hidden it from them." It would be impossible for the pack to miss the fact that the three of them were purebloods. It radiated from Hunter and Austin; it always had.
Wendell's touch was kind and warm and he drew the pup to him briefly before handing him back to Holden. "One would hope they'll change back on their own like we do. They don't appear to be hurt or in pain. I'm surprised their bodies are so well in tact."
