Emmy swept his thumb back and forth against Basil's jaw as he listened to the younger wolf, and he smiled sweetly. He leaned in and pressed a soft kiss against the corner of Basil's mouth before he pulled back to meet the boy's eyes.
"He said that because he wanted you to be interested in him. He's never seen you and I together, if he had, he'd never say that, trust me."
