Breathing a sigh of relief, he nodded and felt a well of excitement at the prospect of taking a walk in the woods with Andrew. He would do almost anything to merge what felt like the two sides of himself. On the one hand, there was his wanderlust, his love of the city and being alone with Andrew in a big lavish house. On the other hand, there was his need to protect his brothers, his connection to the forest, and his wolf. This was a little slice of both and he paused to take off his shoes so he could feel the earth beneath them as they walked. The ground wasn't the most hospitable place for bare feet, but Joshua was used to it by now.
"I can almost remember what it's like to be a wolf. It's coming fast. I feel like maybe I could be safe." Apart from the fact that he'd nearly killed Izzy last week. A minor glitch, he thought.
