"You help," Vance insisted softly as he draped an arm around Pirate's waist, just wanting to be closer to the other wolf. "Even when you're asleep and I wake up, just you being here helps," he added before he leaned up for a soft kiss. "I just sometimes feel like it's over. I'm safe now, I'm happy. So why do I still have to even think about it?"
