"You look beautiful." Black Adam says, a slight note of hesitation in his voice. She'd been polite, if distant, over the last two days, though Adam had been trying.
He noticed that she looked at several of the paintings, a few of a woman with dark hair, olive skin and dark eyes. When Adam looks at the painting of the woman, then at Helena, he's certain that he sees a resemblance.
Other paintings are of Black Adam himself. He did not commission them, but several of his people painted them all the same. One frame, in particular, will stand out as the work of a small child, who drew a picture of Black Adam in school and hoped for him to see it.
He enjoyed the gesture so much that he placed it with the other works.
"Have you eaten, Helena?" he asks, moving to stand beside her.
