Helena was quiet as she looked up at him. Heaven help her, she found herself actually liking him. She was beginning to believe she was cursed to always be attracted to the wrong man.

"I care about you, Adam," she said. "But I do not love you at this time. This is not my world or my home. It is beautiful and exotic and you have been nothing but kind to me, but it is not where I belong."
