Mera enjoyed the warm sun as well, strolling along the dock and into the city to find the small cafe and the love of her life. It had been a surprise for Arthur to agree to lunch and have it happen so quickly. They were both so busy with their responsibilities, and they had so much between them that they may never recover. She had to ask herself if it was worth the risk to piece together their relationship, and the answer was always yes.
She caught sight of his blond head gleaming in the sunlight. Perhaps some strands of silver in the dark gold, but he was still the most handsome man she knew.
He looked up and her heart double-timed for a few beats. She lifted a hand to wave and quickened her steps.
