Forget the complete lack of sense to go running out in the middle of a rainy night because a /ghost/ asked her to get him. This ranked right up there in terms of stupid acts. She should have called someone to go with her. Tom would have, but she didn't want her partner out in the weather and neither would his wife.
It didn't take long to get to Old Town. In very little time she was a foolish woman driving an expensive car where the homeless spent their nights.
