Who: Everyone!
When: Friday July 8th
Where: South Beach, Miami
What: Cinna throws the first beach bash of the summer!
Rating: Xenu only knows.
School had been out barely a day before Cinna sent out a mass email inviting everyone ever to come hang out. She figured after Independence Day people would probably be sick of their families already, so proposed the weekend after that: a beach party on Friday and if anyone wanted to stay for the rest of the weekend they were more than welcome.
Friday couldn't come quickly enough. Part of the beach had been blocked off for them very early in the day, and Cinna's parents had very thoughtfully hired some entertainment-- a series of beach vans, one with ice creams and slushies, another with food, a third with a bar and an attendant paid to look the other way, and a little DJ booth on wheels.
The sky was endlessly blue, not a cloud in sight to spoil the day ahead, and the beach was clear and ready for the shenanigans to begin.

Maddy/Arnaud/Open
She grinned at him. If anyone else was digging her slighty anachronistic apparel they hadn't said as much so far. "Love your shades."
He slipped his arm through hers. "What do you say we meander to the bar? God, I'd love to live Cinnamyn Thompson's fabulous life."
Maddy laughed. "You couldn't pull off her wardrobe." She tucked her hand comfortably around his forearm and wandered with him toward the drinks.
"I'd try real damn hard," he replied and ordered a drink.
Maddy/Arnaud/Adelaide
"I bet her mom would adopt you," she teased. Mrs Thompson was not quite known for her ability to keep her hands off schoolboys. She might be a little disappointed that Arnaud didn't quite find her so appealing, but she'd probably get over it if he offered to be a live-in beautician.
Maddy poked Arnaud as he passed her his drink and ordered another of the same. "She's not Angelina Jolie," she pointed out.
Arnaud snorted at that, but was pleased and amused to see Maddy making an almost current joke. "Even if she doesn't take me in I can do her hair all fierce. Lord knows these celebrities just don't get it."
She laughed at Maddy's assessment. "No, she's definitely not Angelina," she agreed. "I think she thinks she is, though," she added, thinking of some pictures that had recently done the rounds, and Cinna's rant about 'duck lips' and 'trout pout' and the epic tantrum she'd had about how from even half a country away, her mother still managed to embarrass her.
Maddy shrugged. One day she hoped to be half as famous, at least on the stage. She was determined to do better at keeping her private life private. "I don't blame her. Poor girl just wants a life of her own. I couldn't imagine being constantly overshadowed by my mom's next publicity stunt."
