The sandpocalypse is nigh!
Who: Everyone!
When: Friday July 8th
Where: South Beach, Miami
What: Cinna throws the first beach bash of the summer!
Rating: Xenu only knows.
School had been out barely a day before Cinna sent out a mass email inviting everyone ever to come hang out. She figured after Independence Day people would probably be sick of their families already, so proposed the weekend after that: a beach party on Friday and if anyone wanted to stay for the rest of the weekend they were more than welcome.
Friday couldn't come quickly enough. Part of the beach had been blocked off for them very early in the day, and Cinna's parents had very thoughtfully hired some entertainment-- a series of beach vans, one with ice creams and slushies, another with food, a third with a bar and an attendant paid to look the other way, and a little DJ booth on wheels.
The sky was endlessly blue, not a cloud in sight to spoil the day ahead, and the beach was clear and ready for the shenanigans to begin.

He peered around the beach to find, but his view was blocked by the crowd of teenagers starting to stumble around the drinks van. Cinna had gone all out for this party.
Now I know I'd see the hottest girl here if she were in plain sight. Where are you hiding?
Ha ha. im buy the water, rainbow towel
She was on the towel, but it was still very visible. As was her bright yellow dress.
Surounded by hoards of admirers, obvs.
He cleared the crowd near the vans and headed out toward the ocean. He spotted her almost immediately in the small sea of towels that had been laid out by the party goers before the drinking began.
He waved and did a very graceful Baywatch run across the sand, plunking down beside her with two drinks. "For the lady," he offered and set up the business of unrolling his own towel next to hers. "Sunbathing in a sundress. Isn't that a bit redundant?"
"Anyway, gotta get warm before I think about going in the water. Reptilian habits, and all."
He poked at her hip idly and then laid back with his hands behind his head and his eyes closed behind his sunglasses. "Where are you hiding the tail?"
She shifted onto her side to face him and propped herself up on her elbow, sipping thoughtfully at her drink. "How's your break so far? Got plans?"
He smirked over at her. "It's been lame. So far. No real plans yet. I think mom's been trying to talk Elena into taking me for a week or two just to get me out of the house, which will put me in your neighborhood."
"Oh god, you and Elena? I got twenty bucks says she kills you before the end of the first night. Might have to make sure the couch is clear for you."
"You're telling me. Might not have to clear a couch. I bet Jesus would let me crawl into bed with him." He was being saucy and entirely hoping that she'd be a little bit jealous. "I could always sleep in the bottom of your closet. That place is a wonderland."
She was about to agree that yes, Jesus would probably definitely let Luka sleep with him and that she'd have to kill them both to avoid the nightmares, when her closet became the topic of conversation. "Are we talking about the same closet? Piles of laundry, dirty sneakers? Nothing sexy in sight? We should go back to Cinna's room and check out her closet; you'll probably cream yourself," she teased.
This could one of two ways. She could agree to trying to sneak into Cinna's closet or she could tell him he was insane. The lazy part of Luka hoped for the latter, though this sounded exactly like the kind of challenge he was up for. "Just to compare, take notes. Routine surveillance."
She shrugged, and turned from him to lie on her back, face to the sun. "I wouldn't try and understand me from my closet, anyway. It's just where my clothes live."
He leaned on his side so that he could look at her, but not be entirely obvious about it. "I know you're a sporty girl and that's where your masochistic girl streak comes out. I know you're a little bit afraid of being seen as a girl, which is just silly because that's what you are. And I know you have killer legs you need to show off more."
"Your theory blows." She rolled back onto her side and nudged his legs with her knee. "What's wrong with my shorts, anyway? Why's a dress different? You see leg either way."
"Ah, but a dress has the potential to hike up and reveal more." He shrugged, teenage pervert boy that he was; he figured that much was obvious.
"Feel like swimmin' yet?"
"Right?" he called after her as he started racing down the beach. She was a bit faster, probably because she actually bothered to keep in shape in the Quodpot off-season. "Surprised he hasn't magically called forth sharks!"
