Ed had thought about kissing Ashleigh before now. It had been little more than a passing fancy in the past, though. He'd known her for over three years now. He'd always thought she was cute. She was engaged to someone else, though, and he'd tried very hard to behave himself. Even when he'd convinced her to go flying with him, he hadn't been expecting more than having the thrill of holding her close to him.
Something about that smile as she turned toward him, though.. the flush on her cheeks, the hair on her face. The way his fingers tingled as they brushed over her cheek. Ed forgot about any reasons he had to not kiss her in that moment.
He smirked at her reaction, but the expression lasted only a moment as her lips responded against his. He was kissing Ashleigh Barton, who repeatedly told her she was engaged whenever he flirted with her and she was kissing him back.
And it was good. Ed suppressed a groan as he deepened the kiss. His hand dove into her hair, tugging her closer to him as his tongue brushed over her lower lip before pressing forward into her mouth.
Amazing didn't seem to describe it. Ed had kissed a lot of girls, but there was something about kissing this girl that surpassed them all.
