does anyone need a neutral ancient runes professor for anything big? i'm using january jones and need to get inspired right now! my mind is sorta like mush thanks to mid-terms so i'm offering her up for major lines like a daughter, sister, best friend or wife/girlfriend so i can figure her out more. halp!

awesome! i had it that rom was the third of four children so she could definitely have been the youngest of the bunch. i have some details about their family in his bio and everything else other than what i've got there we can totally brainstorm it out. in a nutshell, they're a middle-class family, the kids were raised in a predominantly muggle neighborhood, and they all went to the local grammar school when they were young because their parents didn't have the money for private tutors.

i think that background would fit her perfectly, actually! did you want to figure out their dynamics then? basically, all i had on her was that she was the typical ravenclaw girl, except more dark-humored and had ambition like nobody's business.

great! he was in ravenclaw too, even though he had a bit of a hard time upping his game because of his peers. he's more of a thinker than an actual doer and the only ambition he has in his life is the idealistic world he's created in his head--which is why he's advocating for the rightists. after this "war" blows over, i doubt rom would do anything else of actual importance/relevance to the world except probably music. hmm, well rom's a bit of a scattered-brained guy. he's got mood swings, a bit on the impulsive kind. he's intelligent, sure, or at least intelligent enough to have been sorted into ravenclaw, and he finds that a lot of things bore him easily which is why he drops things like hot potatoes sometimes. except, yep, his political views. his reason for living, etc. growing up, rom was probably a useless older brother. he wouldn't have tried to push astra towards the "right" direction because by then, he probably just lived by the "hurt no one" rule and was pretty much all over the place. he would've definitely made things more fun for her, though. helped her sneak out of the house. or he could've even been a bit of a bad influence towards her. although his golden rule has always been "love mum and dad even tho i'm a pain in the behind most of the time" and he would've definitely enforced that one on astra and cut a bitch if she did otherwise.

see he'd be just the kind of brother she'd appreciate! astra is very strong-willed, has a mind of her own and likes to think she's an independent woman who can take on the world - and this was no different when she was a teenager at hogwarts. i can see her appreciating rom for just being there and helping her do dumb stuff with him, when she was too stressed. i don't think it's typical of her, but i'd imagine since they're older, she'll even respect him and look up to him to a certain degree. she claims she'll be neutral til she dies or is cursed to death, but i think it'd be funny if they clashed on their political views. astra is very suspicious and has a lack of faith in basically everyone and everything.

they sound like they'd get along great! they were probably the kind of younger siblings who left the whole responsibility stuff to the eldest, lmao. as for the political views, rom would think that everyone should care about what's happening now and everyone should put a stop to the fuckery that the purists have going on. he would've considered it a personal crusade to persuade astra into helping out with the leftists' cause, which may lead to many arguments. rom would drop the subject for a few days then bring it up again. because he can be pushy when he wants to be. he's just lazy most of the time.

oh, yeah totally. i can see astra totally taking advantage of being the baby out of the family. she really hates being "labeled" one thing or the other, so i think she'd fight with rom about politics until she's blue in the face. she hates being told what to do or what to think, so sibling fights will definitely be a go in this game!

If she's a sister to Rom, she'll probably have to deal with Barnaby here! I can offer whatever!
