Luke was in the Titans Tower having teleported in with food a little while earlier. He was getting ready for watching a movie, History of the World Part 1, because that movie is so cool even if it is a bit old. But it was definitely much more entertaining that reading a real history book.

He couldn’t watch it at home because his mom and Cait had taken the big TV to watch the Little Mermaid and had got Jo to watch it with them for a ladies night. Dad had taken Wally to a movie that he was clearly too old to go see.

Luke put in the DVD and secretly tried to make some popcorn.

Arica walked into the room and noticed Luke was there and watching a movie. "Hello, Luke," she said with a smile. A princess was always polite. "How are you?"

Luke got up with a blur of motion and speed, pausing the movie to that he had just started. It was still in the Stone Age and was paused on the scene with the comedian getting eaten by the dinosaur.

“Hey Arica,” Luke said being careful not to break out into speedster speech like often happened. “I’m watching History of the World Part 1 if you want to watch it.”

Meanwhile in the kitchen the popcorn was burning.

Donna, who had been attempting to nap, was lured awake by the smell of burning popcorn. It was a good thing her room wasn't too far away from the kitchen, as she hopped out of bed, sprinting towards the smell of burnt popcorn.

"LUKE!" she called, reaching the microwave in the nick of time.

Alex comes out of the gym at the smell of burning popcorn as well.

"Oh, come on, guys! We can't afford to buy /another/ microwave!" he complains. Which isn't true. They could afford to buy a lot of microwaves, but at the rate that Luke went through them, there would be a reckoning.

"Thank you, I would like that. How are you?" she asked as she sat down in a nearby chair.

If the sudden commotion phased her, it didn't show. "It sounds like you forgot about popcorn again."

“Damn it I knew I was forgetting something,” Luke said. He didn’t know how many times his dad had gone over this type of thing with the whole family. Which is probably why they ate takeout unless dad wanted to cook which was actually really good since he liked to get the good stuff from all over the world.

Luke then with an application of super speed and teleporting sent the popcorn and microwave out someplace far away getting rid of the evidence. Before appearing in the kitchen.

“What are you yelling at I didn’t do anything.”

“I have no idea what you’re talking about,” Luke said, “The kitchen smells normal to me.

Besides I was in the living room watching History of the World Part 1. Ask Arica.”
