Independence Day was by far AJ's favorite holiday of all. It was about cookouts and great food and blowing things up. What more could be better? Sure Christmas was always good, but Independence Day was better than Christmas in AJ's book. He had been making fireworks for the past month. This year would be better than last and the Avengers would get a show they wouldn't forget.

AJ gathered his rather large stash of fireworks and headed upstairs to the lawn.

Solver isn't necessarily entirely sold on the holiday for its own sake. After all, he isn't really American, or not entirely. Nonetheless, he makes some appearances, sweeps through some of the most likely terrorist hot spots with x-ray vision, and responds to any major concerns sent his way.
The evening is spent with Momtwo and the other kids of his generation, like a lot of holidays, getting in at least a little time to socialize.

"Hey," AJ said when Solver joined them on the small back lawn of the mansion. "Lots of food to be eaten and the show this year is going to be awesome."

Cian arrived at the mansion after the family party had finished. It had been the usual family pool party and BBQ at Grandpa’s old Mansion on Long Island. Afterwards he had taken his motorcycle over since the fireworks here were always a site to see.

Seeing Solver and AJ taking take of stuff he walked over to see if there was anything he could do to help.

"Cian! You made it!" AJ said with a smile. "Just in time. We're almost ready to light these babies up." AJ gestured to a rather large container of fireworks.

"I think AJ's just whining cause he know Miranda can make better fireworks," Bobby said as he approached the group. "Not to mention see all the mistakes he made. Remember the one year when he set the surrounding shrubbery on fire because he didn't pack a rocket right?"

Veronica is a bit late as she and her father had their own Independence Day celebration. Eli Paravich, however, celebrated his independence from Polaria on this day. They'd been out trying various types of barbecue before Eli allowed her to go.

"Hey, everyone!" she says as she walks through the door. "I brought pie!"

Vernoica presents two apple pies to the group, ready for consumption.

Veronica blushes, even as she rolls her eyes a little and smiles.

"Flattery will get you everywhere." she says. "Did you guys get fireworks? I really wanted to see some, but Dad insisted on hitting as many barbecues as we could between sunrise and now." Veronica says.
