I thought it fitting, considering the rocky terrain. /shot
At being hailed, the badger stopped doing its funny little badger-run and crept forward shyly. About six feet away it stopped and stood on his hind legs, more comfortable with this than a quadruped normally would be and measuring something close to three feet. A wide strip of blue cloth has been twisted into a sort of sash/belt pouch for the pocketwatch.
One clawed paw came up in an awkward wave.
